  1. just a heads up, got a shipping confirmation, and when i went to polyvinyl's site, it says the album download will be available friday
  2. yeah, i've been over to NOLA quite a few times and peaches is a no-go. they have a pretty huge selection, but it's all horrifically over-priced and the staff is trying to rip you off at every available opportunity it seems. Louisiana music factory is the best store in town, although i don't think you'll find what you're looking for there.
  3. the FYE in mobile, al has been filled with vinyl since about 2008. the old manager of the store that i knew was a vinyl fanatic and claimed it was the largest selection any FYE offered nationwide. they even got into used vinyl in the last few years. on another note, guitar center's carrying vinyl now too in small quantities.
  4. both pressings of pretty. odd. by panic at the disco have slightly different mixes. also, the acoustic guitar interlude from "i have friends in holy spaces" to "northern downpour" continues for a few seconds
  5. i dont own late registration, but stay away from that. i was really hoping for a 10th anniversary repress of college dropout, 'cause the original edition doesn't include the skits (sound quality's fine, though). i never understood the love the OG 808's vinyl got - its certainly a BEAUTIFUL package, but sound quality never stood out to me. and there's no way it was recorded analog. everything kanye's done is protools. there's even photos of him working on 808's sitting around computers with protools open. i haven't bought MBDTF, even though it's his best, because i've heard bad things about sound quality. def jam has really fucked up in recent years. i'll probably wind up buying it anyways. MFSL needs to get on kanye's discography and give this man justice on this format.
  6. guys and dolls original cast recording - 1950
  7. this LP sounds great. been waiting on this a looooooong time. one of my favorites. thanks travis!!
  8. gotta say, this was handled very well. packaging's amazing, but what i really impressed with was the pressing... the record sounds great. everything's really dynamic and clear. i did a double take because of the blips at the start of "reckless abandon" before i realized those were in the actual song, lol excellent, though. worth every penny.
  9. i bit the bullet and bought too. i got the 10% discount for originally having ordered from MTS and the guy responded today that i'd better hurry 'cause there was only 10 left
  10. can someone PLEASE post the forward mark wrote? a readable picture would do. i work on the blink wikipedia pages and it sounds like that forward has a lot of awesome insight that i could cite for the article.
  11. A side and C side sound great, but B side is unbearable. I had to turn it off before it even got to Always. Just awful sounding.
