I took all of those lyrics to be not a commentary on drinking but a commentary on the kids who think drinking is all a party is. The girls who get drunk so they can't loosen up, the douchebag frat boys who spend their twenties doing kegstands their parents pay for, etc etc. All my friends are in bar bands isn't about judging dudes who are playing in bar bands, it's about the changes we all have to make as we grow up. He friends are settling down and playing in bar bands, their not out touring and being wild. I get where you're coming from but look at the record again from a perspective that Soupy is a nice dude who doesn't drink, not straight edger. I think you'll see what he's getting at.

dude, will your wife tattoo me? i'll send you money in advance so we can just do it in the room. it's awesome you're coming.. we can finally meet. we can share a 5 star pizza and a coke. When are you getting into town? We're getting in Thursday, so maybe she'll be able to get a shop to let her use a room for a day. She's a little weirded out about the idea of tattooing in a hotel room, but I think if she gets a bunch of disposable tubes it would be okay. We'd have to keep it on the DL. It would suck to have people knocking on the door all night thinking they were going to get free tattoos. She wont do them in an unsafe way, but frankly we've got enough time to get her a proper sharps container and enough disposables that she might be able to knock out a couple. If anyone is interested in getting tattooed at the Fest by my wife shoot me a pm so we can work out details, including cost. We've got to figure out a few legal issues regarding licensing crossing state lines, but any work she does will be with safe, sterilized needles. Ultimately it reminds me a bit of the sweeter tracks off Transatlanticism. But I'm hoping the rest of the record is a bit more aggressive.

Holy shit. This movie was everything I've wanted from a Thor flick since I was 5. Some things I'd change, but seriously I think every ten minutes I was watching with my mouth hanging open in childish awe. Also love that they took so much from Jack Kirby's designs.

I'm going to be on a stand up comedy show in Knoxville this Sunday at the Preservation Pub's new upstairs venue. The show is 3 dollars and there will be a couple of other comics there to make you laugh. I'm going to be filming my set for a "demo reel" of sorts, but since the show is out of town I'm limited to the number of people I can bring. I know we used to have a pretty decent contingent from Knoxville and the surrounding area here. Hope to see some of you there.
