  1. This is the worst comparison ever. It MIGHT be ok if you were talking about movie posters, with specific dates and places, because that movie is different every night at every theater it plays at. What your statement compares to is "why would you buy the record of a band you haven't seen live"
  2. I agree. Side A sounds really crappy, and Side B was only ever so slightly better. (Maybe I was just more used to the shitty sound by then.) I even checked the needle because I thought their might be a fuzz ball on it. I like the packaging and a lot of the songs, but am disappointed. Why would they let something that sounds like this be pressed?
  3. HAHAHA. yeah, this site isn't a bunch of posters preaching to the choir....... +1 for posting the pre-order
  4. damn it! am going to see him in only 3 days! was counting on being able to get one
  5. ^this haha, turn the milk crate around! should be 11x11x13
  6. I agree. Rise to The Sun is my favorite so far, insanely good. Really stoked about the whole album. and her incredible, bluesy voice.
  7. huh, I wonder what happened to the 10". "The vinyl will be pressed on three colors: 1,400 black, 300 black with gold splatter and 300 gold with black splatter, with the color variants versions only available through SideOneDummy Records’ webstore." From: http://www.altpress.com/news/entry/exclusive_smoking_popes_to_release_complete_control_sessions_ep_may_1 oh well, the music should still rock!!
  8. All of you record collectors on the other side of the world from me---in Australia: I am looking for Australian vinyl pressings of They Might Be Giants records! (and cassettes) I you have them or know someone that does, please let me know. I will pay VERY reasonable prices for them. Thanks, -Rip
  9. awesome! first US vinyl pressing of Apollo 18.....20 years later!
  10. The article says Asbestos is re-issuing "much of their back catalog", is this true?! (fingers crossed!) Hope to see Mink Car down the road
