I fuck with the whole Thursday catalog so I’d gladly take a listen to new material if they ever got around to it.

RIP the Cincinnati stop. Such a small number of people must’ve bought tickets they didn’t even acknowledge any dates were canceled, just posted a new tour flier without a few dates. Anyways, I bought tickets today for the Coheed show in San Antonio tonight primarily to see Deafheaven play 4 tracks. Pray for my sanity in a room filled with Coheads. They aren’t even gonna play the old radio hits… just all of LP 5 and then tracks from the new album. These guys are trippin.

Everybody knows you can only be in a punk or punk adjacent band if you are barely scraping by on tour and you work in a shitty restaurant at home. You are not allowed to capture the bag and attempt to live a comfortable life.

It’s even cooler when it’s one short (probably idk I haven’t looked for the tracks to see lengths) song per side.

If you look in the right (wrong?) places turnstile gets roasted for TB and the non traditional hardcore sound and the shows with barricades etc… but yea scowl gets it a lot worse bc they have that cute lady singer so they must be fake, right?

If they had made the cover look era appropriate and not included a band members gf and the manager then I might have cared about the total overall aesthetic. The front - I think - of that booklet (white with the 4 band members and the band name) would have been better. Just pretend the whole thing is their album, put a hype sticker on it that points out it’s really the movie soundtrack. Anyways rant over, they didn’t do that so I didn’t feel beholden to buy the black variant.

I bet their version has his friend’s band doing cover songs.

Hopefully they play some shows soon!

I’m fine with PN in general and am hoping for a sick CIS Drug Church tour… just an awful lot of spatters and colors for a pretty minimal cover is all.
