Just yesterday I was listening to this album thinking how much I wish I had it on wax. A few hours later I learn it is on wax and completely sold out. Did anyone happen to snag an extra copy of this album and is willing to sell it when they get it? I'd really appreciate it!

I have a Technics SL-D2 that was working just fine and dandy. I played around with the weight and anti-skate and saw the anti-skate was working just fine. Tonight I couldn't sleep so I decided to see if I could adjust the tonearm height on this guy. After loosening some screws I determined that I could not adjust the tone arm height. I continued to reset the weight and everything and noticed the anti-skate dial was doing jack shit. I have the platter spinning, needle down on a blank piece of vinyl and am seeing no motion when the anti skate is at 0 or 3. So now I'm wondering if I did something to inhibit its function or if I am just doing something wrong in the process altogether. Any help?

So I did some extensive testing of the 2226 with a friend. We determined that it is fully functioning but the phono signal is so weak that we think it needs to be cleaned. Opened it up to see the top part had tons of grime although the underside with most of the exposed boards was nice and pristine. I did some deoxit action on it but am still not getting a clear phono sound. At this point I am debating whether or not to spend the $100 or so to get it serviced. I figure the item is worth just about that much but I am not willing to sell the receiver or toss it.

I just purchased a Technics SL-D2 from a guy on craigslist. Smooth transaction, he even gave me a timer for free. Before I bought it he had it plugged in and played it for me so I know it's in perfect working order. I also have a Marantz 2226 Receiver and 140 Power Amp which I got from a friend and this equipment has not been tested and hasn't been used in over 10 years. Both power on with some light bulbs not working. I've plugged the TT into the 2226's Phono. Grounded the turntable to the receiver as well. I've connected the 140 to the 2226 with an RCA cable going into the 2226's Pre-Out. The 140 only has 1 set of RCA inputs. Last I've connected some newer Pioneer bookshelf speakers into the 140. I turned everything on, put on my favorite record, set the 2226 dial to Phono but I am getting nothing! When I flip the dial on the 2226 to FM, I get static loud and clear coming out of the speakers. This makes me think that all the equipment can function properly and I just don't have my dials turned to the right settings. Any suggestions? I really appreciate your help

Excuse the super generic title, please. I traded all my gear for a marantz 2226 and 140. I have some pioneer bookshelf speakers already. The problem is I need a turntable. If anyone is trying to sell theirs, that is who I'd like to talk to. My price limit is $500 or so. I'm interested in a rega or pro-ject but am definitely open to some older gear as well. So if you're trying to get rid of your working TT, let me know. Thanks
