As an owner of this label, seeing this really bums me out. You grabbed 3 of 78 extremely rare records, that other people badly wanted. You've had them for less than a month. You're now trying to flip them for "fair offers" because you have expenses (which happens, I get it) - but if you're serious about being fair, I'd encourage you to sell these to people for their original cost. Dan and I could have sold these for $50+, maybe even $100+, and still sold out - but we didn't. We sold them for a price so cheap that we only broke even on the campaign. So for you to flip them just seems silly. And you commented here that you were willing to sell before you even received them. Which is just tacky. Obviously I have no control over this - they're your records, and you can do with them what you please.

All were negotiated based on the amount we'd make. And we made virtually zero dollars on this - we just wanted to get some of these pressed to vinyl. Several of these releases would have never been made had it not been for the highly limited quantities.

It's SO MUCH FUN. Seriously, brainstorming w/ Dan is absurd. Half the ideas we come up with aren't even possible. Dan's still running much of the operation, but shoot me a PM here - I'll try to help the best I can.

This is an experiment, just like the No Machine one day sale. I doubt we'll ever commit to one single method of sale. As far as the collection goes, we kind of see the lathes as a separate type of release - almost a sister to our main series of vinyl. We've even discussed numbering them differently for exactly this reason.

Combination of bands I love and bands Dan loves. TREOS, Squid, Ghost Parade, and NGHBRS were my offerings, and Dan brought in the rest - obviously HBSB was a mutual thing, since our adoration of the band is well known. Personally, I'd love to work with small bands and do small runs, use intheclouds to introduce the world to newer acts that fit with our sound. Can honestly say I love every band Dan worked with before I came aboard, and every band since.

WHAT'S YOUR SECRET WIZARD

I think we'll do a 12 Lathes campaign again next year, but I seriously doubt we create THIS kind of rarity ever again. There's a lot of reasons we wanted/had to do it this way - for the fun of the parody to 12 Days Of Christmas, for Dan's ability to cut lathes with his wife due literally any day now, and logistics/finances w/ some of the bands involved. But we definitely aren't looking to keep intheclouds fans from getting intheclouds records.

We see the Athletics and HBSB re-press requests - I assume we'll make both happen in 2015.

I hadn't heard of either band before Dan introduced me - so hooked now.
