  1. Its ok. Not really essential listening. Most of it is basically live in studio but thats actually better for a band like them.
  2. No signed poster either. This unseats Sun Kil Moon as my favorite of 2014. Dulli is always great but i didnt expect a Whigs reunion album to be THIS good. Second half of the album is unreal.
  3. Hell yes. My fav record of 2002. Someone please press this. The only Mats vinyl i have is also the prized piece of my collection. Songs For Slim signed by Tommy, Paul, and Chris.
  4. Hope one of us gets the signed poster post a pic if u do
  5. Mine is due for delivery tomorrow. Ive never had any preorder arrive eleven days early. Wow
  6. Having been in the 10club off and on since 94 I can accurately say that they are one of the most embarrassing fan bases. The hero worship is scary. If Ed told them to support the Nazi party the majority of them would in a heartbeat. And these are mostly 30 and 40 year olds. Anything numbered or even called "limited" is instant chaos. They lost 10 million fans but kept a million rabid ones.
  7. was in BR for a conference that overlapped with RSD one year and found them. Ridiculous prices.
  8. This is a really good album. Lost in the Woods and These Sticks are my favorites so far
  9. ouch. They skipped us 4 years ago so the wife and I drove 8 hrs to catch them on the Slang tour. It was worth it.
  10. Lol thats exactly what im saying. Theyll never be an arena playing band so number doesnt matter. Last years fiasco with communication and the constant delays are why I did leave it be. Hopefully for u folks its managed better in year 2.
  11. why should it? Because they copied Pearl Jam's fanclub so blatantly that they probably left the words "Pearl Jam" in their mission statement somewhere. In that club your member number benefits you. The lower the better. It could be the difference between 2nd row or 80th row. In Gaslight's it will never matter.
  12. How has SubPop been handling Loser editions lately. Some have been huge numbers (Postal Service was 3000 I think). Any info on this one?
  13. I never renewed. I had a member number of 50 something but its not like that would ever matter with this band.
  14. Ryan Adams is definitely a case where I would have to separate the public figure from the writer. The clips all sound really good for this album. I just know him as the guy who trashes artists that I like and has meltdowns. Lol. Looks like a cool release tho and im a big MOFI fan
  15. The Replacements - Songs For Slim 10" Signed by Paul Westerberg, Tommy Stinson, and Chris Mars. /250
  16. In the 80s on the family turntable it was all 45s I would buy. in 97 I got back into vinyl and bought my own setup. I ordered Pearl Jam Ten from cdnow.com. it was nice to have something to spin that wasnt def lepard or the pet shop boys
  17. Two years! But it sounds like ive missed some entertaining threads...or music.
  18. No idea who circa survive is but im guessing this is the only thing that will ever surface from Sunny Day's last recording session.
  19. Wow. Sunny day was probably my favorite band from 1995-2000. I dont even want to see the ebay prices next month.
  20. Loved the album before Without a Sound but never got into this one. Never gave it a fair shake so maybe I'll try again 18 yrs later lol
  21. Need a colored edition to go next to my pink Sea Change. Scored one a few months ago for $50.
