  5. I picked up the purple vinyl repress from Hot Topic while I was in Hawaii. I compared it to my blue marble first press. To my ears, the purple is a slightly better pressing. The vinyl is a little (very little) less noisy. But the overall sound is fuller than the blue pressing. The purple also used a different stamper and was pressed at GZ Vinyl. I'm not sure where the first pressing was done at. The matrix codes are different on both records. Blue marble Side 1: HR-771-1 SR/2@SRM Side 2: HR-771-1 SR/2@SRM Purple Side 1: 119215E1/A Side 2: 119215E2/B
  6. FYI, the box set isn't 2xLPs for each album. Just for Munki and The BBC Sessions. All the other albums are single LPs
  7. Everything between Psychocandy and Stoned and Dethroned.
  8. Because there is a female lounge singer called Suede and I think they didn't want to be bothered with her taking any legal action against them.
  9. Would rather have an official soundtrack for Chasing Amy. I'd buy it just to have a dialogue-free version of that "Stay" song they used in the hockey rink parking lot argument scene.

  11. holy shit, those records are in TERRIBLE shape. i wouldn't pay $10 for that crap.

  13. Some friends talked to Ty on Sunday and he confirmed that he has red copies. Now maybe he got his copies and opened a copy that happened to be on red vinyl and he's assuming all of them are red. (I'm pretty sure Ty Segall has other things to worry about than whether his records are red vinyl or not.) Either way, I'll take the chance and get one at the show.
  14. I'll just pick up a red pressing at the record release shows this week.
  15. That demo of Sweetness is the definitive version. I was really disappointed when they changed the arrangement on Bleed American. Now if they'd only release the demo version with the acoustic guitar solo.
  16. Isn't Anything is a better album than mbv. mbv is good but not great. The first half sounds like (and probably are) the songs they started working on immediately after Loveless so they already sound dated. The second half sounds like a bunch of half-written songs with a bunch of effects on top of it to hide the fact that they were half-written songs.
  17. Got my copy of the new pressing. Color looks pretty cool. For the cover, it looks like they used the same ones that XOXO have but covered Hellbent Records logo with a S1D logo sticker. They also used a different stamper. The record has a S1D catalogue number in the deadwax. I'm not sure if it's been remastered though. There's no verbiage to indicate that has been.
  18. The Gaslight Anthem - Get Hurt (Best Buy Deluxe Edition) - CD Vultures United - To Live and Die in Gainesville - Grey Vinyl 7" Single The Cure - The Lovecats - 12" Single The Cure - The Walk - 12" Single Buzzcocks - A Different Kind of Tension - LP ABBA - The Singles: The First Ten Years - Double LP

  20. Just ordered this. I didn't need to but I figured I should preserve my red vinyl pressing. Plus the vinyl is a nice color and it looks like the center label is different.
