Exclusive to the webshop, we didn’t get approval for the print until it was too late to include it to the copies we shipped to stores.

glass realms reacted to CatsNJazz in PO Now: Whirr - Feels Like You (out on oct 31)
I've been listening to a lot of Whirr lately, and I've got a few thoughts.
1. I miss the good old days
2. In hindsight, they are the reason all of indie music shifted towards shoegaze. Ride and Slowdive reunion albums and countless new bands would not have happened without Whirr making shoegaze the indie zeitgeist of the last decade.
3. They will never get credit for point 2 because they are 'Canceled'
4. Despite point 3 they sold out of everything they have released post G.L.O.S.S.GATE, and they have ~850,000 monthly listeners on spotify.
5. Point 4 should logically make no sense because of Point 3, but it kind of just makes me depressed as hell because it's proof that this band got railroaded by their labels and the music media over some straight up nonsense that got turned into a sociopolitical warzone and they were the only casualty. I hope they get the money and recognition they deserve at some point. Despite there being hundreds of new shoegaze bands, I never hear Whirr named as an influence but the sonic influence is in everything.
Also, I wanted to rank the albums/EPs and see what everyone thinks
1.Pipe Dreams
2. Distressor
3.Feels like you
4.Nothing Split
5. Around
6. Sway

Clear vinyl Anniversary edition is $12 at Rough Trade. Free shipping if you're in the "Rough Trade Club". Otherwise, shipping in the US is like $7.

I’m seeing them next month in Portland, hopefully this isn’t their last album/tour but if so it’s been a great ride.

And still no EU shop or distros, amazing. The world is not just US or UK, and many labels still count their UK store as EU store (which is not, awful taxes and postage costs make it even more expensive than ordering from US - sometimes).

glass realms got a reaction from mcpherson123 in [PO Now] Mogwai - Young Team & CODY Remastered | Hawk, Beast, Rock, Happy represses [9/22]
They just made a similar post to the Young Team post earlier this week, with cover of Come On Die Young. I'm guessing now that these are straightforward reissues. I can't imagine them putting out two expensive deluxe/expanded vinyl reissues at the same time. I could be wrong.

Looks like it's gonna be a single LP reissue. I have an OG double LP press so I'll likely pass. But I really hope Touch and Go do a remastered reissue of Exploded Drawing reinstating the gatefold sleeve.

glass realms reacted to Boaty McBoatface in New Found Glory "Coming Home" Being Pressed?
Not off-base at all. It’s called selling out, and this situation is part of the cost of doing so.
Chad should stop being a whiny bitch and let Catalyst get pressed, for fuck sakes.

On the OG press as well as the previous 2 reissues.

glass realms got a reaction from itsWetWilly in Albums That Should Be Pressed on Vinyl
I’d definitely pick this up if they did a vinyl pressing of it. It’s great soundtrack with songs written by Jason Segel, Jarvis Cocker from Pulp, Carl Barat from The Libertines, The Bird and The Bee (aka Inara George and Gary Kurstin). Some of the songs are pretty silly but they’re still great and catchy. And the album was actually played by musicians who have done session work for and/or were in bands like Redd Kross, Jellyfish, and Smashing Pumpkins. And Russell Brand doesn’t actually sound to bad on the songs.

Alright. I usually hate when this thread gets bumped, but I’m hoping I’m not the only one in this world that wants this, and maybe I can speak it into existence.
Get Him To The Greek Original Movie Soundtrack by “Infant Sorrow”
Is the movie GREAT? No. It’s good. But the soundtrack is incredible. One of my favorites and maybe the only one I ever play regularly. This would be AWESOME! Anyone with me?
