  1. Judging by the picture - you cant fix this, sorry.
  2. Akuma No Uta repress would be great indeed.
  3. You guys do understand that most probably you are not paying for the manufacturing but for the re-working of the album? They are not touring for this thing, so how do they get their "investment" back?
  4. Which press are you exactly talking about (discogs link)? I have the EU press and its very decent.
  5. Great news, hopefully all of these are pressed at Pallas or at least MPO in the EU. And hopefully Year Zero is 45RPM and on all four sides. Cant find the European store. Anyone care to help?
  6. I havent done any comparisons but the mp3-s I have right now seem a lot more brickwalled than the previous two youtube videos - dont know why did they go through the trouble recording it live when it still sounds like crap with this kind of mastering. Im afraid the vinyl wont be any improvement, since I think NB hasnt done special vinyl masterings for any of their recent releases.
  7. UMe is Universal Music Europe? If it is, most of my UMe records are pressed at GZ.
  8. Ok, according to discogs the vinyl is a different cut, but no informatiom on the artwork - die-cut like the first press or not?
  9. Bought the EU vinyl today, sounds great, I would even call this audiophile quality.
  10. Just downloaded a random mp3 leak of this and it seems to be almost unmastered (sounds great, very dynamic). Is the vinyl and the CD the same?
  11. The fact when record companies are not using the original artwork is also a giveaway - if they dont even have the artwork (even a mint original press to scan), why should they go through the trouble in finding all the original tapes and files and remaster them. I hope Im wrong but I will wait and see. edit: the link wont open btw.
  12. While looking the list again I really think they should pretty much unmaster majority of the albums so they can sound good on vinyl.
  13. Since they are not mentioning the mastering it makes me a bit hesitant. I had both the EU and US copy of obzen and they sounded horrible on vinyl (because of the brickwalling). Koloss doesnt sound that good either (for example when comparing with Carcass - Surgical Steel 45RPM). DEI and CC re-issues sounded very good though, even though they still used the louder re-mastered versions.
  14. So, what does everyone think of the sound? I mean it sounds good but this is probably the first time I think I need a separate EQ integrated into my system, I think the previous master had a lot more bass, with this I will have to turn the volume up to 80% to get the air moving.
  15. And Europe too, at least my local record stores cant order it from anywhere. I dont care about the A side, but Spectre is probably my favorite Radiohead song in years, too bad its not on the album itself.
  16. Sorry for sounding uncool but what is that thing exactly? LSD paper?
  17. Nemesis Divina re-issue is finally coming in may.
  18. Holy crap, I just listened the mp3 of this on my old iPod and it sounds like crap - I cant believe how much it clips. I understand that mastering engineers nowadays master with earbuds but come on.
  19. So what the fuck guys, does the vinyl press sound good or bad then? I cant tell since I dont know whether you are listening to it on a Crosley or VPI. Im interested in the EU press.
  20. After seeing the movie I still dont like this score. Zimmer clearly is out of ideas.
