  2. Formed out of the murky Louisiana Swamp, these four denizens of somnambulance and limited brain power were a former backing band to Motown's greats, until abandoned at a routine gas stop in Baton Rouge in August 1965. In an act of brazen post-mortem activity, the band soldiered on, focusing their collective rage and wild abandonment issues into a thrashy, gross, fast, groovy, loud, hurt-feeling-fest of garage and punk rock bravado. After emerging from those garbage laden swamps, the band relocated to Los Angeles in late 2009 to annoy and harass the lazy bourgeois bar going public and teenage backyard house show attendee. Who knows what posthumous ridiculousness will ensue. (FFO: 60's garage, surf, stomp, punk, noise) http://vitriolrecords.bigcartel.com/product/death-hymn-number-9-3rd-degree-moonburns-lp
  3. We're really happy to release the second full lenght from french Noise / Metal band SOFY MAJOR on Solar Flare Records. Their new album IDOLIZE to be released as a 12" LP, CD Digipack & Limited Vinyl Boxset. PRE-ORDER SLF010 :: SOFY MAJOR - Idolize 12" LP + MP3 / CD Digipack / Apparel (out May 31st, pre-orders get a 10% discount) Listen to « Comment » PRE-ORDER THE ALBUM HERE Out of the bowels of the post-industrial badlands of Clermont-Ferrand, France comes SOFY MAJOR, a metallic noiserock trio highly motivated in intoxicating the listener with their energetic and off-kilter attack, than kick your liver in while your hangover is at its worst. In the Autumn of 2012 SOFY MAJOR transports to the Northeastern North American quadrant, bent on hammering out their new opus at renowned Brooklyn-based studio Translator Audio with producer Andrew Schneider (Unsane, Keelhaul, Cave In, etc.) as well as to embark on their first US tour. As luck would have it, they arrived in town at the same time Hurricane Sandy moved in. The loss is 100% -- the entire studio flooded beyond repair, and all equipment in the studio including the band’s gear left swimming. The trio bummed around the borough for a few days, hooking up with cohort and labelmate Dave Curran (Unsane, Pigs), who helped set up the sessions they crossed the globe to carry out. After 3 weeks of recording, the band embarks on their first US tour. A trip melting ultimate mysticism, stupidity, bad karma and shitty disaster B movies without any special effect. 5. It's been a while since I've interacted on this forum (a couple years I think), but I got something for sale if any of you are interested. It's a radio promo cd in NM condition of Relient K from back in 2003. It features the songs "Falling Out" and "Forward Motion". There is no insert, just the cd and jewel case, which has the lyrics on the back. I'm asking $5. If I don't get any responses within a week, I'm gonna sell it online somewhere. In other news, I'm definitely pre-ordering the new Relient K album on vinyl. Can't wait.
  6. Our own Jolly Ronnie just put this up on Facebook. If you don't fucking JUMP at this, you are severely lacking in the musical taste department. Only 4 copies left and I doubt you'll ever find this again. Let them eat rock! http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000007NT9/ref=tmm_vnl_new_olp_0?ie=UTF8&condition=new&qid=1369243337&sr=8-3
  7. I'm trying not to spend too much but please let me know if anyone has these.
  8. A friend of mine just booked these guys at a festival in TN and told me to check them out. Loved them so much that I bought their whole catalog on vinyl...give them a listen and see if you dig them too. Kind of a folky twangy Neil Youngy kind of deal going on! For 6 lps (5 albums - the newest being a 2lp), I paid 82 bucks shipped. not bad! looks like there is about 20 copies of each left in the store. Had to share this with VC http://frontierruckus.portmerch.com/stores/home.php

  10. Title says it all. Its the "audiophile" black version and if it matters it was one of the first 1000 pressed. Comes with all the ammenities of the boxset. Ill make it clear that while the vinyl has never been played, the cd has and shows minor signs of wear but does not skip. Looking to get cost + shipping but will consider offers.

  15. Sometimes two things that are amazing on their own come together through some twist of fate, and a legendary team is formed. Continuing the tradition of great collaborations, veteran Detroit (and Brooklyn) indie rockers Few and Far Between join Cruise Italy on a new 7″ split from Whoa! Records. The split is available for preorder now at the Whoa! Records store and features a new track from both bands. The record is a study in contrast. While Cruise Italy takes a carefully wrought, melodic approach on their track, Young Villains, Few and Far Between take a more aggressive tack. On one side, Few and Far Between’s track Left for Dead is a hawkish missive about trying to find the inspiration to break out of the routine of our workaday lives. Its anthemic choruses are made truly powerful with help from Jay Navarro (Suicide Machines/Break Anchor/Hellmouth) On the other side, Cruise Italy charts a more measured and poetic approach with their contribution to the record. The warm and somber tone of Young Villains weaves a tale of someone taking a leap and starting a new life. The contrasting tones of each track make for a perfect combination. This is a record you’re not going to want to miss out on. So, head over to the Whoa! Records store and order your copy of the Few and Far Between/Cruise Italy split. This is a limited edition release, only 500 copies will be pressed. If you would like to reserve your copy to pick up at the release show, and not be charged for shipping, please use the code PICKUP at checkout. Few and Far Between and Cruise Italy along with Old Mission, will play a release show Nov. 21 at Small’s in Hamtramck. Doors are at 8 p.m., tickets are $7, 18 and up are welcome. RSVP on Facebook.

  19. So if any of you are familiar with the punk band Strung Out then you should recognize the vocals on this Ep. It's Jason Cruz the lead singer from Strung Outs side project, although it's not punk rock. I would best describe it as country/americana influenced rock. I really suggest you check this out and pre order the 12" Ep. They are limited to 500 and come in 4 colors. The entire Ep is up on iTunes right now and I'll link you below to one of their songs so you can have a listen before laying down the cash. Let me know what you think! RIYL: hot water music, fairweather, lifetime (sort of...on all of these) http://concrete-houses.bandcamp.com
