  1. I just listed this Cut Chemist album on my discogs page, its pretty rare. Was hoping someone on here was into this sort of thing. the sleeve shows some typical shelf wear, but its really nice. Both records look like they were never plays. This is the original and only pressing of this album, which is out of print. I'm asking $60, but would consider offers. Thanks guys! -D http://www.discogs.com/Cut-Chemist-The-Audiences-Listening/release/1834849
  2. anyone watching the grammys tonight??? any predictions on the winners? or stoked for any of the performances? or just don't care? sorry if this is in the wrong section.
  3. Madeon's single from 2013 "Technicolor" has been repressed and is available over at My Play Direct: Madeon - Technicolor A little steep on the price but I was bummed I missed out on grabbing this last time.
  4. Looking to buy or trade for LIGHTS' sophomore album "Siberia" on red vinyl. I just revisited this album and discovered that I enjoy it a lot more than I originally did. For trades check my tradelist: https://deadformat.net/collection/skadoodle
  5. Lydia Ainsworth has a new record out in September and the few tracks that have dropped from it are quite fantastic. I didn't pay enough attention to them first time round but they are incredibly engrossing and very very well composed. It is being released on Arbutus records out of Montreal - a record label that I have been highly, highly impressed by this year - I am a big fan of the Sean Nicholas Savage album they released a few months ago, they also have a rad band called 'TOPS' coming out with a new album in September. Anyway, here is some choons from this new Lydia Ainsworth joint! The video is pretty fantastic as well. Record can be preordered for a reasonable price and comes in 'Malachite' Green White Shadows on soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/arbutus-records/lydia-ainsworth-white-shadows
  6. Just ran across this last night. Limited to 500 copies on 2 180g black LPs in a "Euro Style Jacket." Anyone who enjoyed Todd Terje's "It's Album Time" will enjoy this. Some great synthesizer work is featured along with off kilter beats and a few guests on vocals. There are a few tracks streaming on the bandcamp page, and from what I've heard this is a must own! http://mashibeats.bandcamp.com/

  8. Up now via Kompakt.fm. http://www.kompakt.fm/blog/JioXIMao5RFX No pressing info but it looks to just be standard black in mass production. 2xLP+CD and standard CD formats. ---------------------- I absolutely loved 'Arabian Horse' so really looking forward to this. The song previews sound phenomenal.
  9. I don't even know how many of you guys would be into this, but I'm a big fan of this guy's stuff, so I figure this would be a good place to spread the love. Four fantastic footwork/juke tracks, plus two remixes, on awesome looking pink vinyl. If you like stuff like OM Unit, Machinedrum, DJ Rashad, and the like, you'll probably dig this. Limited to 300 with no repress, so if you want one you might ought to go ahead and jump on it. http://apothecary.bigcartel.com/product/slick-shoota-keep-bussin-limited-edition-pink-12 Here's a sample of the EP on Soundcloud.

  12. Can't really find much about this artist/release, but DZANG is a producer from Los Angeles currently living in Berlin. Someone posted about the record on Twitter, and that's how I discovered him. Nevertheless, the songs are pretty great. Official website: http://dzangtech.com/ Listen to the record/Download it for free: https://soundcloud.com/dzangcloud/sets/xlo BUY LINK: http://dzangtech.com/xlo/ The total is $12.95 shipped if you're in the US. Not a bad price for some awesome ambient tunes.
  13. I'm pretty low on funds, what with rent/bills getting paid, a minuscule paycheck from this past pay period, and me not keeping very good track of my leisure spending for the first week or so of the month. So, here's a relatively short list of stuff you could buy from me, to help me put some much-wanted cashola back in my bone-dry college kid bank account! I only have three or four 7"/LP mailers on my person, so once I'm out of each kind, the sale is done! A few things to note: 1) I prefer to do business with established board members, because I know I can trust them; newer members can send offers if they have some good feedback here or on eBay. 2) U.S. buyers only, please! 3) Be reasonable with your offers, and don’t send me messages that just say “how much for [album]?” because I won’t respond to those. 4) Because it's MLK weekend, these will not get shipped until Tuesday, possibly Wednesday. Also, I'm out of town until Monday evening, so questions about the condition of a certain record can't be answered until then. 7" Records Japandroids – Younger Us (clear vinyl, /2000) SOLD King Tuff – Screaming Skull (black vinyl) Now, Now/The Lonely Forest – Shifting/Woe Is Me (RSD 2012, black vinyl, /500) Phoenix – Entertainment (RSD 2013, gray marble vinyl, /3000) The Wonder Years – Won’t Be Pathetic Forever (4th press, HT Exclusive, pink vinyl, /500) 12" Records A Skylit Drive – Wires...and the Concept of Breathing (clear vinyl, /350) SOLD Boys Night Out – Trainwreck (2xLP, black/yellow swirl vinyl, /1000) SOLD The Bronx/Mariachi El Bronx – Live (RSD 2012, clear w/ multi splatter, /1000) Crystal Castles – Crystal Castles III (black vinyl) King Tuff – King Tuff (black vinyl) Pianos Become The Teeth – The Lack Long After (5th press, grey marble vinyl, /1000) Sharks – No Gods (dark blue w/ red haze, /600) Silverstein – Arrivals & Departures (baby blue vinyl, /900) V/A– Django Unchained OST (Italian bootleg, 180g black vinyl w/ slipmat, 466/500) Wavves – Afraid of Heights (pre-order exclusive, white w/red+black splatter, /500) SOLD Yeasayer – Fragrant World (2xLP, 180g white w/ blue splatter) Finally, If you see something on my tradelist that interests you, feel free to make an offer on it! I'll probably say something like “thanks, but it’s not for sale,” but you never know unless you try, right? Thanks for looking!
  14. LeftOverCake describes it as “a stunning debut" in its entirety. As the co-founder of 2dopeboyz Shake states, "…this is perfect for those late night car rides through town…or even when you’re chilling in the crib dolo…I’m on my third listen and I don’t plan on putting it away any time soon. This is fantastic stuff." Born in Brooklyn and raised by two Jamaican immigrant parents, Kasim Keto finds his influences in a wide range of places and experiences. Having moved from New York, to Alabama, to Florida and then back to New York within the span of two years as an adolescent, Kasim found sanctity in a diverse array of musical styles, which is today reflected in his eclectic blend of production. Growing up in an impoverished household, Kasim saw music as a method of escape and an outlet for creative expression. Kasim began writing music at the age of 8 and it would go onto become a life-altering experience. At 16 years-old, Kasim began cutting school and, unlike his peers, his days were not spent in relaxation but rather, working through the ranks of various studios to learn pro audio gear in an effort to hone his talent as a producer. As Kasim explains, “working on several local projects and trying to gain notoriety became a facilitator of my musical talents.” After releasing numerous online projects to critical acclaim, Kasim is ready to show the world why he is in a lane of his own. As popular local blog BrooklynBullshit states, “keep an eye out" for Kasim Keto. With an unmatched drive, Kasim blends hip-hop and electro into a cohesive musical journey on his debut album Long Car Rides. Long Car Rides serves as a journey through the mind of Kasim Keto, as he takes listeners on a road trip of sonic delectation that they will not soon forget.
