  1. A very first pressing of Nick Drake's "Pink Moon" album. Has a "Sample - not for commercial sale." promo-sticker, indicating this was a promo record. Quite a rare little Nick Drake find and an even rarer addition to your collection. Matrix numbers are, as is to be expected for a 1st press, "ILPS 9184 A-1U" and "ILPS 9184 B-1U". Record would be NM by most people's standards, but just to be careful I graded it EX. Sleeve is in pretty good condition, had it not been for the little white patch where somebody carelessly ripped off what I presume was a price sticker. As such, I chose to grade it VG. Item ships from The Netherlands with insurance and will be packaged meticulously to avoid any and every possible damage to the record. For questions about shipping costs to your specific country, contact me. US shipping would be $30. Album containing pictures of the record can be found here: http://imgur.com/a/EaNLp Price I'm asking is $600, seeing as Drake's first pressings of Pink Moon regularly go for $300 in the VG to VG+ range. In contrast, this is a NM record, and is also a promo. However, the price isn't fixed and could in theory be discussed if you're truly interested. Feedback is always welcome.
  2. Have you ever wondered what Reel Big Fish's Sell Out would sound like as a 70s-style California folk rock song? No? What about the Pietasters' Higher as if it were from a Muppet movie? Really? Not even a bit curious? What about a Slackers song as a quiet folk ballad? Or a Mad Caddies song in the style of a Neil Young jam? Well if you were even vaguely curious about any of the above, you're in luck. I've just released and shared my newest album, Third Wave Mixtape to the unsuspecting public. Nine covers of ska and ska punk songs from the late 90s, an era when most high school band horn players could somehow find themselves on national television, and skanking was an acceptable dance move. The album was entirely recorded and performed by me over the last three months and is available to stream and download for free via Bandcamp: https://danielfield.bandcamp.com/album/third-wave-mixtape Tracklisting: 1. Sell Out (Reel Big Fish) 2. Higher (The Pietasters) 3. Rules of the Game (The Hotknives) 4. Redlight (The Slackers) 5. Far Behind (The Hippos) 6. All My Best Friends Are Metalheads (Less Than Jake) 7. Nude Beach (The Scofflaws) 8. A Year Of This (The Undercovers) 9. The Bell Tower (The Mad Caddies)
  3. Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes are back with a new album titled "PersonA." Out April 15, 2016. You can preorder on limited edition coke bottle clear along with some bundles here. I wasn't overly impressed with their past couple but will be keeping an eye out for track previews.

Buy via my Bandcamp or PM on VC: http://danielfield.bandcamp.com I have a thread in the vinyl section too, since this will be available on vinyl in March, but I thought I'd share in this section too. 9. New thread for LOTS of new records for sale. Bordering on 800 now. I have a constant turnover as I buy collections and trade stuff up. I'm mostly using this to fund buying more records. I'm interested in a few trades, so look at my wants list. I'll give you double or triple the value of records for your single LP or 45/7" if it's the right one. PM all your offers! I've bought, sold and traded lots of stuff on here & DF just check out my profile. If you're concerned about my reputation since I post the list on Dead Format, please see my info page on DF where I've posted the usernames of some 100+ users I have dealt with in the past five years. 11. Happy 4th of July, everyone! While this isn't technically a "holiday" sale...it is a wicked awesome sale that just happens to start on a holiday. Here's the deal: I've recently moved into a new place that is a fraction of the size of any place I've ever lived in. On top of that, we are working on several awesome releases for the coming months and at least two of them are double LPs. What does this mean? IT MEANS THAT UNLESS I GET RID OF SOME RECORDS, I WILL BE SLEEPING ON THEM! Make my accountant shudder at the sheer loss in profits on some killer releases that we have for sale right now: http://www.mindovermatterrecords.com/store.html Included items are: * All of our t-shirts (WIFE, Our Lady) * Our Lady "II" 12" * Our Lady "Vessels" 7" * Our Lady/estates Split 7" * husband&wife "Dark Dark Woods" LP+CD * Empires "Freshwater Reflection" LP * Billy Wallace & The Virginia Blues "Tucumcari..." LP * Greenland Is Melting "Still Not Dead" 7" ...and more! ALL ONLY $3 EACH!!! WHAAAAAT?! Also, we have some great new distro titles that I've added in, including: * ISIS "In The Absence Of Truth" (Clear/Red variant) * ISIS "Oceanic" * estates "Gleam" (debut vinyl LP, now OOP!) Come one, come all. Please help me make some space!
  12. hi i hope you don't mind me posting about a special 7" singles club i've been running for three and a half years now (it's due to run for seven) called wiaiwya-7777777 specifically, the latest release is an exclusive collaboration between Woodpigeon and Norman Blake (Teenage Fanclub, Boy Hairdressers, Jonny): https://wiaiwya.bandcamp.com/album/brutish-birds wiaiwya-7777777 is a seven inch singles club – a very ambitious seven inch singles club. “there’s this sadness when you can’t find it on vinyl, because it’s like it’s not proper” - Pete Paphides Now in its fourth year (of seven), it is a celebration of the seven inch format, as well as all things seven. 210 lucky subscribers sign up, and get seven exclusive 45s in the post. The records are always released on the 7th of the month (one on each day of the week), and 77 days before release date just 77 copies are made available to purchase individually. “The 45rpm single, the hard, black centrepiece of the teenage revolution” – Bob Stanley For 2015 we have asked some of our favourite bands and artists to collaborate on a one off single, to try something a little different, and to prove the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. These are then being pressed onto 2 colour vinyl discs, and inserted into numbered reverse board sleeves. And, as 2015 is the first year there will be seven Star Wars films, it would be foolish not to stand their titles into the run out grooves. there's more info about subscribing here http://wiaiwya-7777777.blogspot.co.uk/ thanks John www.wiaiwya.com

  16. I started this thread for anyone who loves folk-y acoutic-y music. This band (The Milk Carton Kids) is amazing. They are a few albums deep in their career, but should be on every radio station in the world. Did you watch the concert on Showtime for the Cohen brothers' movie (Inside Llewyn Davis) called "Another Day, Another Time"? Oh you did!? Well you heard them talk and sing. You win! If you don't know who they are, but you love folk music go to their site and listen (you can thank me later): http://themilkcartonkids.portmerch.com/stores/home.php?cat=590 Have a great night!
  17. https://www.indiegog...rn-civilization This is the Indiegogo for Jordaan Mason's first official album in 6 years. I, and many others would love to own a LP from this human, you would be wise to join us. Infinitely backed. Discuss.

  21. Hi, first post here, so if this is the wrong place, my apologies. I'm looking for a few vinyl, wondered if anyone had any they didn't want anymore. I'm quite picky about the pressing/colour because the majority of these albums are still easy to get on standard black. OM - Variations on a Theme (Purple or Clear vinyl) OM - Conference of the Birds (Green or Orange) OM - Pilgrimage Queens of the Stone Age - Rated R (1st Pressing) Marissa Nadler - July (Deluxe edition) METZ - METZ (Loser Edition White Vinyl) Earthless Rhythms From A Cosmic Sky (Purple or Clear vinyl) Espers - Self Titled Espers - Weed Tree Meg Baird / Helena Espval / Shaon Kraus - Leaves from Off the Trees Meg Baird / Kurt Vile - Split 7" I'm in the UK but I'd happily pay for overseas postage. Cheers
  22. Hey all! I made a bunch of DIY style cd's for a few of Tongue & Groove Records WA releases. These are purely for fun. I love playing fast folky style music, so if you want a couple CD's feel free to message/post here. I just want to share/will mail for free. etc.. Listen here:
  23. Hey folks. I'm new here, but I've made dozens of sales on other sites (Reddit, deadformat, ebay, discogs), and look forward to seeing what this community is all about! I’m always down to trade if you have a credible internet history, so make me an offer or PM your trade list! Here is my “want” list (this is just off the top of my head… and I’d love to see what else you want to trade):http://deadformat.net/tradelist/thejesset/wants Minimum $5 order (OR really close to $5, before shipping) If you see something that is listed without a price/condition, it means that I have not had the time to properly evaluate it. Some will be NM & some will be well below average condition, but 98% of the vinyl is better than VG-. Just ask! There are no very high-dollar items without a price, so check http://www.discogs.com & eBay to get an idea of what they MIGHT cost (I will generally charge equal to or less than market price). All LP's are visually graded conservatively. Shipping: 1-4 LPs:$4 … 5-9 LPs:$8 … and so on. I ship all vinyl as cheaply & safely as I can, and will issue a partial refund if I overcharge you by more than $2 (gasoline & packaging ain’t free). Double LP's only count as 1 LP (if you don't order a LOT of them!). All shipments are /usually/ made within 1-2 business days after you pay for it… so expect a relatively speedy & efficient delivery. International buyers are definitely welcome (I'm located in the US), but please understand that the shipping will be exceptionally more expensive & that all shipping quotes will take 1-3 days for me relay (I do not go to the post office every day). Feel free to ask any questions. I will get back to you with any information as soon as I possibly can. MANY of the albums listed here are original pressings, but I can not guarantee that they all are. Again, if you /need/ to know, just ask. PS- Any purchases made this week will really help with my bills, so consider this a preemptive THANK YOU! Keep your eyes on this post for a few additional items that will be added in the upcoming days. 24. So for any PIX fans that didn't get a copy of the book the first time, Chris is doing a kickstarter for a repress with a better layout, it's a bit longer and has more stuff in it. Or for anyone that doesn't know much about PIX but likes punk and wants a really good cheap book this is totally for you! There's only 13 days left and it is really close to being funded. It is a really really great read about how the label was founded and the punk scene in Bloomington, Indiana in the 1990's as well as scams to get free pizza, tour stories, and more. It's happy, sad, intense, and hilarious. It's really cheap: only $10! We all need another book to read!
