  1. Hey there folks, I’ve been a pretty massive AJJ (aka, Andrew Jackson Jihad) collector for over a decade or so, and I’m trying to fill some final holes in my collection, so I’m wondering if anyone here might be able to help me finish things off? A couple of these are a tad confusing (such as the black vinyl edition of ‘Can’t Maintain’), so if you specifically know the version you’ve potentially got is from that batch, that would be amazing! I’m also looking for shipping to Australia, but should things get a little too expensive, I’ve got family over in the US I can ship to in the meantime! 12 inches: (2007) Andrew Jackson Jihad/Ghost Mice Split: 2nd press - Gold 2nd press - Blue/Purple 2nd press - Translucent Green/Brown 2nd press - Magenta 2nd press - Opaque Purple (2007) People Who Can Eat People Are The Luckiest People In The World: 1st press - Black (in brown jacket) 4th press - White (in blue jacket) 7th press - Black (in blue jacket) 9th press - Clear Green w/ Black Swirl (in blue jacket) (2009) Can’t Maintain: 1st press - Black 3rd press - Clear Blue 4th press - Opaque White 7th press - Random Coloured 10th press - Black Picture disc test press - White vinyl (2011) Knife Man: 2nd press - Multi-Colour 7th press - Blue w/ Black Swirl (2016) The Bible 2: Test press (2017) Little Elephant Sessions EP: 1st press - White (in Fest sleeve) 1st press - Clear (in Fest sleeve) 3rd press - Black (in picture sleeve) (2017) Little Elephant Sessions 2 EP: 1st press - Clear (in brown sleeve) 3rd press - Black (in picture sleeve) (2017) Decade Of Regression: Live At SideOneDummy: Test press (2019) Live At Third Man Records: 1st press - Blue/Black (Attendee copy) 10 inches: (2008) Only God Can Judge Me EP: 2nd press - Black 5th press - Random Coloured 8 inches: (2007) Mischief Brew/Andrew Jackson Jihad Split: 1st press (Clear Blue With Polka Dots) 7 inches: Any test pressings of any variety I’m also looking for a handful of CDs and promo releases, so if you have any leads on these as well, please let me know! 4. Greetings VC! I’ve just recently started collecting music and thought I would see if any of these were available. Pat’s older music got me through some tough times, and just recently I started listening to the newer stuff and have been enjoying it just as much if not more. I know this may be a long shot but I’ll remain hopeful there are some copies of these laying around and ready to be sent to a new home. I’m looking for these to listen to, as well as collect, so as long as they’re in decent shape I’ll be interested. I am willing to pay well for these..up to $80 depending on what you have. 9. Alternative pop experts Maxïmo Park today announce the forthcoming release of their sixth studio album, ‘Risk To Exist’, available on Daylighting/Cooking Vinyl from April 21st. ‘Risk To Exist’ sees Maxïmo Park on blistering form, bringing together their trademark hook-laden melodies and sense of urgency with off-kilter rock, soulful grooves and pop sensibilities. Informed by the dire state of world affairs in 2016 and crumbling political systems, their latest body of work is a vital record for our times. Frontman Paul Smith says: ‘The album is, ultimately, about empathy. Some songs are simple messages of solidarity and others are fuelled by anger at the elitist, established order of British society. There’s a questioning of power throughout and a feeling that there must be a different way of structuring our society in order to alleviate inequality. Musically, the songs reflect more soulful and groove-based influences, allowing more space in the arrangements than ever before. The central idea is to align great pop melodies with songs that reflect the state of the nation.” With 1,500,000 albums and four UK Top 10 albums under their belt to date, Maxïmo Park have once again shifted seamlessly into a higher gear. They have expertly crafted an infectious pop album for our time, confronting the crucial issues track by track, one monstrous hook at a time. https://maximopark.tmstor.es/index.php?page=products&menu=Music EDIT: That double-post thing seems to be happening again...
  10. Hi everybody! This is round one of what will be an unloading of stuff I have in the collection that I can live without. I am sure more will be added as time goes on, so this thread will be updated semi-regularly as I figure out what I am letting go. I enjoyed/listened to these records, and would say they are in fairly good condition, with some expected wear from either storage or maybe from initial shipping to me. If you have questions about stuff, just let me know. Also, everything is black vinyl unless noted in the comments section of the list. Edit: Sorry about the formatting, it was copy and paste from excel. All prices will be minus shipping unless it says ppd. That said, I still need to go through and price some of this stuff, so for now I am still taking reasonable offers ($10 minimum) via Paypal in the US only (sorry international folks, I just don't want to deal with shipping overseas right now). I am not looking for max value, but I don't want to give stuff away for nothing if you know what I mean. I won't really be checking this thread for replies, so just send me a PM with what you are interested in and we can work it out,. You can also check my Discogs store at: https://www.discogs.com/seller/jimmythescumbag/profile These will ship media mail with delivery confirmation as well (and more than likely insurance). If for some reason an item has not been pulled yet (not likely though), I may need a little bit of time to pull it to ship, but rest assured, I will do my best to ship as quickly as I can once payment is received. I have plenty of mailers and inserts, so anything paid for will ship in a day or two tops. By the way, I used to post/sell/trade here a while back and never had any issues, but if you are worried about my credibility I am sure I can get some people to vouch for me if my recent feedback isn't sufficient. Thanks for looking! Recent additions: Note: these are things I found in the boxes of stuff I pulled initially. I need to price these, so feel free to make offers for now. 11. The Beatles......Abbey Road......Apple Records....UK PCS 7088.......The last record officially recorded by The Beatles and one where they are at a creative peak. George Harrison is on for here and contributes two of his strongest Beatle songs "Something" and "Here Comes The Sun." John and Paul are working well, if not totallt together on this album and contribute some good work in cluding"Come Togeher" and "Oh Darling" ...There is the first use of a synthesiser on a main stream pop album and oh yes that excellent second side medely.......all in all this album is a great listen and well worth getting a copy of.
  12. Hello all! Recently went through my collection to consolidate and sorted out all the stuff I bought that I really wasn't into so much. Was gonna bring them to a local shop, but decided to first throw the list up here and see if there's anything anyone here would be interested in! All that are listed are in NM condition are just opened to play anywhere from 1-5 times! Let me know if anything interests you! Also, started compiling the list on Discogs and then realized you can't show folders to other people so I'm just rolling with a screenshot of it for now!

  14. My band, Spirits ( http://www.spiritsxxx.bandcamp.com ) released our debut LP back in May and I've been meaning to post a collection of pics showing off the packaging we designed to go with the record. If you've got a second to scroll please give it a look as we're pretty happy with how everything turned out! This is how the LP looks when you first see it/pick it up. In the poly bag its actually kind of difficult to tell that it has a vertical wrap and just looks like a standard white cover with the pencil drawing and the bands name on it. As you slide the vertical wrap off of the LP it reveals the record's title: Discontent. Also the next layer below the skin from our sad looking gal on the front cover. Next you pull the LP jacket apart diagonally to reveal below the muscle layer... the skull. It is a printed dust-sleeve that houses the actual LP. We really wanted to make something with multiple layers in the artwork and are super happy with how this turned out. I don't know if I've ever seen packaging with this cut in it. We printed the jackets through Imprint and they were super cool with helping us figure out how to make this cut and with adding the extra tab on the traditional jacket so that all 4 sides of it would be sealed until the cut was made. When you flip over the dust jacket it reveals a wall of lyrics and the credits for the album. This is the back of the LP jacket that pulls apart diagonally. Song titles that are not visible when the wrap is fully on the LP. The two main variants of vinyl are clear with black smoke and clear with red smoke. They turned out really cool and each one is pretty unique. The red LP in the top corner of this picture is the only copy that ended up being a pretty solid clear red throughout so naturally I had to hold onto it. This gives a pretty good representation of the variation of the clear vinyl with color smoke added in. Bonus fact... the center labels are 3 dimensional if you look at them with 3D glasses. If you'd like to pick up a copy we have them in our limited run store here: http://www.spiritsxxx.limitedrun.com and you can also download the record for free here: http://www.spiritsxxx.bandcamp.com http://www.spiritshc.com if you'd like to keep up to date with anything we have going on! And last but not least, you can follow us on social media as "spiritsxboston" on instagram, tumblr, twitter, and such! Thanks for checking out the end result of our collective work as a band since the beginning of the year!
  15. The Autarch / Soothsayer Split LP (limited to 300) is now available to order directly from our website at http://www.replenishrecords.com RR19 Autarch / Soothsayer Split “Neo-crust is a fickle genre, often difficult to pin down in the grand scheme of extreme music. On one hand, it is short and aggressive with more melodic tendencies, calling to mind such acts as Tragedy and His Hero Is Gone. However, on the opposite end of the spectrum, it is a genre that revels in the space between the d-beats, an epic blend of doom and black metal, as well as crust punk, such as Fall of Efrafa and Nux Vomica. With the newest split from Pennsylvania-based Soothsayer and North Carolina-based Autarch, both sides of the spectrum are shown in full. Soothsayer focuses on the sludgy, drawn out end of neo-crust, crescendoing from desolate valleys to mist capped peaks. The tone is epic, rarely falling back on a simple d-beat pattern for much longer than a few seconds, and creating such massive soundscapes to do genre pioneers proud. On the other hand however, there’s Autarch, focusing more on the power-filled, intense blasts on the HHIG side of the spectrum. The overall music is intense and fast-paced, but carries a strong melodic edge, often blurring the line between crust punk and the more melodic leanings of black metal. The two styles mend well, different sides of the same coin, and provide a good starting place for anyone who might be new to the genre. While neo-crust may be a fairly new subgenre of extreme music, it’s exciting to see how much potential it has, especially when it comes to new acts such as Soothsayer and Autarch.” Heavy Blog Is Heavy Formed in North Carolina in 2010, Autarch is a four-piece band from Asheville that combines elements of hardcore, crust, and post-metal to defy the limitations and expand the boundaries of each genre in order to forge their own path forward. From the unrelenting drums and enduring melodies to the undying screams of three different vocalists, the band evokes a palpable sense of urgency in order to contest the choices mankind has made in both the past and the present that pose a grave threat to our future. Formed in Pennsylvania in 2014, Soothsayer is a five-piece band from Pittsburgh that combines elements of hardcore and crust to create an original sound that is all their own. The band ebbs and flows between heavy riffs and melodic passages in order to shed light on mental health issues, queer issues, gender identification, racism, and anarchism. The Autarch / Soothsayer Split is now available through Replenish Records on black wax and limited to 300 copies. 17. Bleep Exclusive Clear Vinyl Vinyl 3×LP$34.99 Add to Basket Bleep Exclusive Limited to 500 Clear Vinyl MP3 delivered on release date MP3 download of vinyl tracks is included with vinyl purchases. Jaw-dropping disco LP from Luke Vibert under his Kerrier District alias given a much-needed reissue by Hypercolour, originally out in 2004 on Aphex Twin's Rephlex label and criminally unavailable until now. Praised by all who hear it, Kerrier District is a melting pot where deep acid, New York garage and dub-disco all blend together to create one of the best modern electronic funk albums of the past twenty years. Taking a wedge of influence from Black Devil Disco Club's 1978 self-titled LP/EP (depending on who you ask) and originally issued on Rephlex the same year they reissued BDDC, Kerrier District instantly became something of an underground classic, providing a border crossing for fans of library rooted deep disco and the more electronica referencing drill 'n' bass fans of Rephlex/Vibert/Aphex. Using an army of analogue synths, drum machines and boogie rhythmic samples, Kerrier District is an LP almost out of time with all else in this style, while it has that old school edge it sounds neither new and modern (not in a bad way, mind) but also isn't a retro sound, more than anything it truly has it's own unique sound and character, that twelve years after first hearing it has still got us in the groove and with the newly remastered job its properly sounding fresher than ever. Every track is pretty much flawless and the keen-eared out there will hear occasional echoes of other Vibert projects (there's a well-placed sample in exactly the same place and track number as used on the Amen Andrews vs Spac Hand Luke LP - go search!) upon its original release Rephlex hailed Kerrier District "a kaleidoscopic ride through disco, funk and MPC beats" and we can't really argue with that. An essential piece of electronica history right here, stick it on, play it loud and everybody get on the disco bus! Vinyl Track List A1. Let’s Dance And Freak A2. Silhouettes B1. Illogan C1. Disclix C2. Disco Bus D1. New York E1. Yesco E2. Negresco F1. Wide Vice F2. Squaredance.
  18. Hi, I'm a student at Huddersfield University and as part of my radio show, I want to interview a Vinyl collector. It would just cover things how you got started collecting and what you enjoy about it. This would be done over the phone. If you are interested please message me or reply on this, I would really appreciate your help. Thanks Jack
  19. Hey all, I heard about this site from another forum, and after a few months of intense Vinyl searching, I decided to officially make an account and ask a few questions about some sought after Coheed and Cambria vinyl. I'm almost done with my collection, but unfortunately the last few that I need typically go for the highest prices, so I ask too much about No World For Tomorrow and the green Second Stage Turbine Blade, but I was wondering about a few others, and am possibly looking to buy if the price is right. So here are the ones I'd be most inclined to buy atm. The Afterman: Ascension- Orange Vinyl The Afterman: Descension- Purple Vinyl A Favor House Atlantic- Picture Disc Single Also Senses Fail, Let it Enfold You- Orange Vinyl If anyone also knows the typical prices I could find on this site for the following items, please let me know Coheed and Cambria-Neverender: Children of the Fence Edition Maps and Atlases: Trees, Swallows, Houses- Blue vinyl Senses Fail- From The Depths of Dreams EP- Brown vinyl Coheed and Cambria- In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3- Peach Vinyl Like I said, I am new to this site and am looking forward to interacting with you all and hopefully can find some decent prices, because ebay is trash and you all know what you're talking about. Thanks in advance!
