oterecords posted a topic in Vinyl Collective Message BoardJust got done with a few bigger jobs but I have open time now and I'm looking to do more jackets for people. One-off test press jackets are obviously not as cost effective but they do look great if you've gotten sick of just seeing plain white sleeve or white jackets for test presses. I can do small to large runs, and am also not just limited to jackets. Here's some pictures of jacket I've printed for people. I also have been tinkering around with a cool way to do matte printing black on black. Feel free to PM me with any questions! Turn around time for a one-off jacket is usually about a week at most. If you've got a few one-offs I'll be glad to cut you a deal also.

I was having a discussion with some friends about songs written after 1980 that have been covered the most times in a non-novelty context (so basically, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes don't count). There are tons of songs from the 50s, 60s, 70s (not to mention all kinds of standards from before that) that have been covered countless times, but I feel like songs from the 80s forward are covered less frequently in a serious context. But here is my thought for most covered song: Naive Melody (This Must Be the Place) by Talking Heads Other ideas?
oojavaguru posted a topic in Vinyl Collective Message BoardRise Against have announced plans to release a collection of non-album tracks and covers this fall, much to fans' delight. Long Forgotten Songs: B-Sides & Covers 2000 – 2013 will arrive September 10th on Interscope Records. “In the last thirteen or so years Rise Against has put out six records, each one we are proud to put our name on,” says lead singer Tim McIlrath. “But we are just as proud of these 26 songs that slipped through the cracks and never ended up on any of our full lengths. In various ways, most of these songs saw the light of day at some point, but we thought we would spare you the digging and put them all on one record.” Long Forgotten Songs: B-Sides & Covers 2000 – 2013 will include songs from Rise Against’s career, starting before they signed with Fat Wreck Chords, that did not end up on any of their studio albums. Pre-order and fan exclusive offers will begin on July 30th. Stay tuned for more info.
