  1. I came across this music funding website (that I think it situated in Italy) and there's a label that's planning to reissue this incredibly rare Italian library/soundtrack record. €40 gets two albums and a T-shirt, which I think is a great deal. Here's a preview: Details: "ciao! we are the COMETA EDIZIONI MUSICALI from Rome, one of the greatest publishers of film music soundtracks and libraries in Italy and with the help of Musicraiser , you will support the realization of our amazing project! LIMITED EDITIONS 500 copies REISSUE IN 180gr Vinyl of two albums (one unrealesed) from our catalog Cometa/Sermi/Gemelli. After more than THIRTY YEARS From the release of these LP , we decided to create this project also to make available to everyone this very hard to find LP . To start we chose one of the more rare and great LP of the maestro ALESSANDRO ALESSANDRONI " ALESSANDRO ALESSANDRONI " Sermi sr -st 132 1971 and a unreleased FREEDOM POWER-TOWER OF POWER LP, sequel of beautiful and rare Libray FREEDOM POWER Comet of 1976 , TOWER OF POWER containing unreleased material recorded during the same session of '76 flavored jazz - funk soundtrack like italian's POLIZIOTTESCHI 70es MOVIES . Also known as " The Butterfly " , is one of the rarest of Maestro Alessandro Alessandroni . Originally printed in 500 copies out of print has now reached a four-digit prices in the collector market , aka the " Holy Grail " of Italian soundtracks . It is an album that showcases all the qualities of Alessandroni composer and arranger : writing never boring halfway between classicism and psychedelia , the particular use of the voices of his Cantori Moderni , the impressionistic strings, and the inimitable sound of distorted guitar that many times we have heard and loved in the soundtracks of Ennio Morricone and Bruno Nicolai . " Freedom Power" (released in 1976 on label Cometa Edizioni Musicali CMT 4 ) is one of the most popular albums of the '70s and Italian library collects compositions of Maestro Gabriele Ducros with the contributions of other composers and musicians like Sandro Brugnolini , Enrico Pieranunzi and Silvano Chimenti . " Tower Of Power " is the sequel to that lucky LP and includes unreleased material recorded during the same session of 1976 , songs that as in the case of those of the first volume push the accelerator on the jazz - funk soundtrack that was in Italy in those years fertile ground thanks to the great success of the movie cop . MUSICRAISER , THROUGH YOU THE OPPORTUNITY 'TO PARTICIPATE AND TO ENABLE OUR PROJECT AND for those who PAY ' , we studied a series of rewards WITH EXCLUSIVE GIFTS !!! in addition to the 2 LP PREVIEW YOU WILL RECEIVE : T - SHIRT , lp and CD from CEM AND OTHER SURPRISES ( DEPENDING ON your DONATION ) as : the opportunity 'to visit our historic studio in Rome , our master tapes archive and get hold an exclusive CD with new songs never before released FROM OUR MASTER TAPES , SELECTED from 2DAZE and DAVID Nerattini with cover art of SERGIOTTO , author of the legendary covers lp Cometa (VIOLENCE! , freedom power , INCHIESTA , daydream . .etc ), all overseen by IVANA MATTEI HISTORICAL COMETA'S CEO . thanks in advance to those who will participate in supporting us ! 2. I figured I'd post this due to the large interest in OSTs. Holiday Records recently released a Gruppo di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza record from 1971 that has never been pressed to vinyl before. Ennio Morricone is in this group. This guy is credited as having scored and/or had pieces used in 528 films per IMDB that range from obscure 70s Italian movies to Quentin Tarantino films. The cool part is this record has never been pressed on vinyl before, is limited to 400 copies and is about drugs. Each song is supposed to represent the sensation of different drugs or something like that.. Boomkat's copies of this sold out very quickly this morning but they are still available from the record label's site here: http://www.holidaysrecords.it/It's about 29 bucks total to ship to the US. I am unaware of anyone carrying this in the US. Here's the description of this release from the label: There are still so many treasures to be discovered out there, but once you find a gem like this you can definitely put the research on hold for a little while and give it a deep listen. Recorded at Fono Roma in 1971,Eroina is a series of haunting improvisations - each one inspired by the effects of a different drug - made of whirling electronic glitches, skronky horns, pounded piano, funky drums and weird tape experiments delivering the best drone/spaced/drugged out free jazz performed by the legendary ensemble of Ennio Morricone, Mario Bertoncini, Egisto Macchi, Battisti D'Amario, Franco Evangelisti and Walter Bianchi. A timeless masterpiece available for the first time in a deluxe vinyl edition.
