  3. The day is finally upon us. Some of you may remember a 7" lathe I put out last year under the moniker "The Secret Truth of the Universe" (If you don't remember, check it out here:(https://www.discogs.com/Secret-Truth-of-the-Universe-The-Secret-Truth-of-the-Universe/release/6594275). In a week I am dropping a 6-song cassette EP titled "Our Memories Are All We Have Left" whose sound falls somewhere between shoegaze and bedroom pop. This is how the tape looks: Here is a music video for "Amber's Flesh" from the EP that I directed that was shot on Super 16: The EP will be a co-release between Here Is Nowhere Records and Dead Red Queen Records (http://deadredqueenrecords.weebly.com). There are only 40 copies of the tape. Dead Red Queen has 15 and I have 25. Once the 25 are gone they are gone! All I'm asking is $8.50 shipped for a copy. Let me know if anyone is interested so I can reserve you a copy. Thanks for the support! P.S. Here is the Discogs listing for the release! https://www.discogs.com/release/9182220 UPDATE (10/18/16): Copies are live on the website and the whole EP is up to stream/download: http://hereisnowhererecords.bandcamp.com/album/our-memories-are-all-we-have-left Woo-hoo!

This year we decided to move things forward and released 5 new tapes. You can find all of them here: https://ztapes.bandcamp.com/ Feel free to ask here any questions, propose ideas, anything music related. I also run this site: http://start-track.com/. So feel free to share with us and we might feature it on our site. Also feel free to send us message to [email protected] With love, Filip

  9. Hey folks, I help out a bit with Little L Records, an Irish label that's been releasing limited-run tapes (and occasionally records) for the past few years. We've now got nearly 100 releases spanning diverse styles/genres/continents under our belt and are excited for what's yet to come. A few of our most popular release include titles by Panucci's Pizza, flatsound, and Yvette Young. You can check out our almost entirely free digital back catalogue on Bandcamp. And read up on our artists or browse our store on Limited Run. If you've grabbed tapes from us in the past, it'd be cool to see some pictures!

The Yamabushi Recordings Collective is a group of artists functioning outside of the increasingly monopolized black metal and hardcore "scenes" - creating lo-fi limitation embracing audio experiments and primitive degenerative rock music. 16. This band is not huge, but seems like enough people around here like this style of music, that it is worth posting. Indie/emo/mathrock type stuff. I absolutely love their last album 'Bones In the Soil, Rust In the Oil' so I'm pretty excited to see what this one holds. They posted this song the other day and said they'll be self-releasing it on vinyl unless a label gets involved. (Sorry if this is the wrong section but I thought this 1-song preview would be best in 'Everything Else' and once they actually put the record up for sale, to make a thread for that in the 'Vinyl' section.) Here's the new song: And if you like what you hear, you can find them on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Pretend/179233628799153 Enjoy!
  17. Can't really find much about this artist/release, but DZANG is a producer from Los Angeles currently living in Berlin. Someone posted about the record on Twitter, and that's how I discovered him. Nevertheless, the songs are pretty great. Official website: http://dzangtech.com/ Listen to the record/Download it for free: https://soundcloud.com/dzangcloud/sets/xlo BUY LINK: http://dzangtech.com/xlo/ The total is $12.95 shipped if you're in the US. Not a bad price for some awesome ambient tunes.
  18. CPR-16: HOLY SONS "Lost Decade II" LP + DIGITAL DOWNLOAD Hidden away in a virtual cave during the 90's, Emil Amos (Om, Grails, Lilacs & Champagne) amassed a catalog of over 1000 songs, never submitting any of them to a label or playing live. Working tirelessly in various basements across North Carolina, he used the 4-track as a radical therapeutic device to unravel various psychological conflictions and capture an ongoing spiritual implosion on tape. 15 Years after the first volume of songs from that era was released ["Lost Decade" in '99], a second volume has been dug out and rescued from endless piles of cassettes. There's an unparalleled intimacy to these recordings that could probably only be compared to Daniel Johnston's walkman tapes made while he was committed in a psych ward. In a ritualistic attempt to capture the rawest picture of human behavior, mescaline was ingested regularly before recording... giving a witchy glow to the songs in this collection. For any long-time Holy Sons listener this collection fills in some of the blanks of one of the most reticent and under-acknowledged song-writer/producers of the last 20 years. LIMITED TO 500 COPIES ON CLEAR VINYL. THIS IS A PRE-ORDER, EXPECTED TO SHIP MID-MARCH. Order @ http://www.chromepeeler.com/order.html
