  1. Seems like Music on Vinyl is pressing Puddle of Mudd's Come Clean on clear vinyl, limited to 1000. As a fan of garbage music, I'm a fan of this news. http://www.bullmoose.com/p/25101120/puddle-of-mudd-come-clean-clear-vinyl-import-eu

  3. Directly from MOV's website: "From January until March 2016, European based record label Music On Vinyl will reissue three Death Cab For Cutie albums, originally released by Atlantic Records / Warner Music Group. All albums will be pressed on 180 gram audiophile vinyl. The albums intended for release are Plans (2005), Narrow Stairs (2008) and Codes And Keys (2011)." Plans has a release date of January 25th on the site so I guess it's already available at certain retailers. More info here: http://www.musiconvinyl.com/news/death-cab-for-cutie
  4. I just found this thread on the Drowned in Sound music board today. The thread has one response in which a person rates the main LP reissuers (see following list). Could anyone weigh in on whether they agree with or disagree with these ratings--and why? I was looking at some Plain Recordings LPs over on acousticsounds.com today, but I definitely want no part of them if they are going to be average or poor. Quality is very dependant on the label in charge of the reissue. Here are a couple of examples that come to mind: Usually Very Good: Music on Vinyl Rhino Light in the Attic Numero Group Average to Good: Back to Black Major label reissues Usually Very Poor: Plain Recordings 4 Men with Beards Back on Black

  6. Hello everyone. I am fairly new to collecting and to this community, but I recently stumbled onto Music On Vinyl and they have a lot of great movie soundtracks that I would be interested in getting my hands on. Unfortunately, it doesn't look they have an online ordering options for the U.S. on their website as they are based in the Netherlands, so I was hoping someone could direct me on the best way to get my hands on some of these releases? Any help you can provide on the best way to obtain these releases would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

  9. So while I was looking around on eBay tonight, I somehow came across this auction http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BLIND-MELON-SELF-TITLED-DEBUT-LTD-180gm-YELLOW-VINYL-LP-MINT-PRE-ORDER/161276976640?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222006%26algo%3DSIC.FITP%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20890%26meid%3D6234069686508506926%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D9312%26rk%3D7%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D310908392101 supposedly Music on Vinyl is doing a repress of Blind Melon S/T on limited edition yellow vinyl? I regularly check MOVs website, and they are very good with updating their new releases. But this ebay seller has it being released on May 12th, and I see no mention of Blind Melon on MOVs site. Juts wondering if anyone else knows if this is legit or bogus? The seller does have 100% FB with over 49K score. If this was true it would be great for anyone who missed the RSD release last year!!

Newonvinyl.com is already down to their last copy. (source: FB New On Vinyl) Check it out: http://www.newonvinyl.com/en/overkill-taking-over-ltd.html More info: New Jersey trash metal band Overkill were formed in 1984 and named themselves after a Motörhead album. They were one of the early trash metal bands to sign to a major label and started to become successful in the late ‘80s, when the genre became popular with bands like Anthrax, Exodus, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Testament. Taking Over is the second studio album by the band and was originally released in 1987. It was their first album to be released through Atlantic, who would release all of the band’s albums up to W.F.O. (released in 1994). The track “Wrecking Crew” is considered one of the band’s signature songs and was chosen to be the title of the band’s official website (wreckingcrew.com). 13. Hi Guys, A great Reissue that was long overdue. It's here now. For all the Hip Hop & Jazz fans, and general Music fans. Guru - Jazzmataz by Music On Vinyl is now in the pre-order. This is a smooth album. To refresh your mind, here's a link of the single Loungin by Guru: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FzV21Lqd3A&feature=kp You can pre-order it here: http://www.newonvinyl.com/en/guru-jazzmatazz-vol-1.html
  14. Now in the Pre-order at New on Vinyl. DJ KRUSH - KAKUSEI -LTD- by Music on Vinyl Pressed on Transparant vinyl. Only 1000 copies. The fifth album of DJ Krush Kakusei was released in 1998. Continuing his series of solo albums as collaborative efforts, this album is an invigorating, moody, and powerful release. Krush once again lets his abilities at both musical creation and turntablism work together for great results. “Escapee”, a track worked on with fellow beatmaster A.S.A., is almost stereotypically Krush, but it sounds so great, the crackle of vinyl and acoustic bass moan steering the course. Other musical collaborations abound, unsurprisingly: “Parallel Distortion” with DJ Sak features odd video game noises and a quirky synth bass rhythm echoing through the flow, while “Krushed Wall” has the Rhythm Troops having a blast with the usual Krush sound and tons of unexpected stops, scratches, and cuts. price: 37,39 dollar / 26,95 euro. Without tax (shipments outside the EU pay no tax): price 30,90 dollar / 22,27 euro Check it out: http://www.newonvinyl.com/en/dj-krush-kakusei-ltd.html

  16. According to this site, Music On Vinyl will repress Toxicity later this year. There's not much information on this yet, except it being 180g single LP. Release date is set to 12/31/2014, but I'm sure this is just a placeorder. This post will be updated, if there's any news/preorder/etc.
  17. To anyone who ordered one of the represses, they just started shipping out recently. I received mine this morning and was extremely thrilled, I opened the package up and saw a bunch of stickers on the sleeve and didn't think anything of it. I took the record out to see that a sticker was still plastered right on the jacket of the record. (I wish I could upload a picture) I tried carefully to take it off but knew it was a bad idea so I stopped right away. I'm wondering if everyone else's record was like this, and wondering WHY THE HELL ANYONE WOULD JUST SLAM A STICKER ONTO A RECORD JACKET LIKE THAT. It's the most ugly looking thing ever. It pisses me off. I just don't get why anyone would want to do that and or place an order for a press and have those put on the jacket. If someone (anyone) could chime in on this I'd really appreciate it, thanks.
