  8. Vinyl Debut of the album "Wisconsin Death Trip" by Static-X. Single LP on 180 gram SILVER & BLACK MIXED COLORED vinyl. Limited edition of only 1000 copies. Including Insert. Gatefold Sleeve Wisconsin Death Trip is the debut studio album by Industrial Metal band Static-X, hailing from the Midwest of the United States. After lead singer Wayne Static and drummer Ken Jay met at a Virgin Records store in Chicago, it was not long until they decided to head out west to California to enlist a lead guitarist and bassist. Once in California, Koichi Fukuda became their guitarist, and not long after, they discovered Californian Tony Campos to complete the band as their bassist. "Push It" is the first single off the album, one of the band's most recognizable and popular songs, followed by the second single "I'm with Stupid". "Bled for Days" is the final single, of which the video was composed of recordings from their live shows, and the audio was spliced together with the original album version. This song has also appeared on various soundtracks, such as the Universal Soldier: The Return and Bride of Chucky. In August 2001 the RIAA certified the album as platinum. http://www.newonvinyl.com/en/static-x-wisconsin-death-trip-ltd.html?mc_cid=b847a27957&mc_eid=1c8051e1d7

  11. Hey all - Don't know if there will be any interest in this. I have had several people show interest in some Sparrow Sleeps albums on vinyl, so let's see how serious those people were. There's a Kickstarter campaign for a vinyl release of "Your Favorite Lullabies: Lullaby renditions of your favorite Brand New songs." Rewards include digital downloads, copies of the album on vinyl, custom lullabies, test pressings and more. I think this is the kind of project that Kickstarter was made for. I obviously don't know if there is a huge demand for Brand New lullabies on vinyl, but I guess we will find out in thirty days. Amazing, long-awaited return to the twisted bubblegum garage punk coming straight out of Nobunnys weird weird mind! NOBUNNY Secret Songs ----------- About Secret Songs Sometime, you may find yourself broke, unable to get laid, and, despite it all, constantly surrendering to the urge to sit around all day, get high, jerk off, and eat candy. Times like these it feels like no can help, no one understands . . . nobody except NOBUNNY, that is. This latest installment, Secret Songs, shhhhh, could just have easily been called “The Complete Idiot’s Guide To The Scumbag Life”, but maybe that’s the point. NOBUNNY seems to have found the lowlife fountain of youth; some radioactive sewage drain drank from in a desperate attempt to ward off last night’s hangover. He’s flaunting it in front of everyone and its impossible not to have a good time while he’s doing it. “These are just thoughts in your head / and soon like you they’ll be gone and dead,” sings NOBUNNY on the album’s opening track, “Bye Bye Roxie,” backed by an unrelenting snare drum and a fuzzed out guitar melody so childishly addictive you could gargle it. The remainder of the album provides a didactic framework on how to deal with the essential elements in life: girls, drugs, and people you don’t like very much. “Little Bo Bitch” offers an admonition to those who would attempt to sneer at the type of punk rock jezebel described therein, with a rabbit thump rhythm that embodies the sort of horny frenzy one would imagine Little Bo Bitch to induce in her amours. “Rotten Sweet Tooth” relates the internal struggles of a “dirty old man with a rotten sweet tooth” to choose between his girl and his sweets, ultimately settling on the former (who said NOBUNNY was impractical?). Aside from covering a variety of lyrical subjects, this album also showcases a diversity of genre. From the 1960s AM country-radio stylings of “Trouble in Mind,” which could just have easily ended up a Waylon Jennings 8-track if temporal circumstances would allow, to the blast-beat, hardcore assault of “Buried in a Bong,” this album proves NOBUNNY’s absurd, sadistic, loony toon appropriation of rock n roll fears no horizon. So next time Mom and Dad tell you to get off your ass, go see a psychiatrist and get your life together, tell them to forget about it. You’ve got a new five-foot-ten, fruitcake, half-rabbit best friend who knows the best way to make sense of life is to drown those brain cells in cheap beer and shake until you’re cross-eyed, no matter how messed up it all seems. From B9: "Today marks the release of Alcoa's Drowned 7inch, which is a two-song teaser for Bone & Marrow, the forthcoming debut full-length from this solo side project of Defeater frontman Derek Archambault. Bone & Marrow was recorded in mid-2012, first in Derek's hometown of Portsmouth, NH, then at Mike Moschetto's The Office Recording (N. Andover, MA) and at Jay Maas' Getaway Recording Studio (for vocal tracks and mastering). This debut album features eleven pop/country-tinged songs about life, love and regret. Also prevalent on the album is the addition of instrumentation like upright bass, banjo, fiddle, pedal steel, piano/organ, and charming guy/girl dueling vocals (featuring Archambault's fiance Alyssa Eygnor), making it Alcoa's most complete and mature effort to date. As promised, Union is the second part of a two part album project that stared with the release of Morning Comes late last year. The two albums relate lyrically and visually. "On Union, we moved away from our usual-sounding song structures, rock solos and harmonies by adding more sonic textures," says the band's Wayne Petti. 22. I'm sure there are a few fans of The Antlers out there. Just a heads up that they started taking pre-orders for a new EP called Undersea. No idea on quantity. From their newsletter: Dearest Everyone- We're thrilled to tell you about our next release, Undersea, a four-song record that will be out July 24th on Anti- and July 30th on Transgressive. You can pre-order Undersea now at www.underseaundersea.com. Here's what we can tell you about it. It begins in the dream of a peaceful flood. Water covers everything and rises. We take a deep breath in and a slow breath out. Everything is changed. Time slows and stretches as a connectedness washes over everything. We’re left treading water, backstroking into the future. Undersea is the feeling of suspension- memories suspended in time and space, energy suspended in the air around us. It’s the serenity of drifting off to sleep or of sinking to the bottom of the ocean. It’s both the comfort of knowing that some questions have no answers, and the torment that we’re never meant to know the truth. We’ve searched for patient, colorful sounds and found a meditative calm, a persistent pulse that leaves room for everything to breathe and expand as a new world takes shape. There is no hurry. xoxo, The Antlers
