  2. Textile is proud to release for the first time on vinyl the critically acclaimed albums “Flags of the Sacred Harp” from Portland, Oregon’s JACKIE-O MOTHERFUCKER. Released in 2005 this fifth full-length album from the Portland based collective displays the group's patient and evolved songwriting style with historic references to American blues and hymns. This double LP contains songs that are all manifestations, mutations and reinterpretations of old blues and gospel, specifically from an old hymnal called "The Sacred Harp." and is definitly the most accessible and sublime release from Jackie-O Motherfucker. «Flags of the Sacred Harp» is an epic recording documenting the group's maturing skills in writing, arranging and production and is a timeless deconstruction of American music. «Flags of the Sacred Harp stands as Jackie-O Motherfucker's most potent and focused liturgy to date » - Pitchfork «American folk to a new level» - PrefixMag Also expect new material Tom Greenwood has been working on for the next Jackie-O release slated for Fall 2017. 5. The preorder is here. It was legendary record producer Alan Lorber that came up with the concept of "The Bosstown Sound" -- "The Sound Heard 'Round The World" to market and promote the best and brightest of the Bean Town sixties psychedelic scene. (Boston's key groups at the time included Orpheus, Beacon Street Union, Ultimate Spinach, Chamaeleon Church and others). The Ultimate Spinach, arguably the finest of them all, produced magnificent examples of surreal psychedelic record-making, now prized by crate-diggers and outsider music fans alike. The Spinach's self-titled debut album is now considered a psychedelic classic, but it's the group's second record, Behold and See, that is perhaps their finest achievement. Ostensibly a concept album, it’s centered around lead singer/songwriter/keyboardist/guitarist Ian Bruce-Douglas' cynical worldview. He skewers "normal" society with all the fervor of Zappa and all the surreality (and insanity) of Bob Markley on songs like "Visions of Your Reality" and the four-part "Suite: Genesis of Beauty." Add in the lush, floating vocals of Barbara Jean Hudson, fuzz guitar and some great late-60s psych jangle and you've got the formula for an unhinged classic that stands up to the best of the non-coastal psych sounds of the late-60s. For decades, the only available version of Behold and See was a heavily-edited "director's cut” which omitted an entire song and presented edited versions of others. On this edition, Sundazed proudly presents the album in its rare, original, superior dedicated mono mix, unexpurgated and unedited. This "ultimate edition" is presented on (of course! and at last!) custom spinach-colored vinyl and nestled into a jacket with beautifully restored artwork. Behold and See is the perfect place to dig into the "Bosstown Sound” - a tremendous and beautiful album now on Sundazed!!! On colored vinyl! Track Listing: Side 1: 1. Gilded Lamp Of The Cosmos 2. Visions Of Your Reality 3. Jazz Thing 4. Mind Flowers Side 2: 1. Where You're At 2. Suite: Genesis Of Beauty (in four parts) 3. Fifth Horseman Of The Apocalypse 4. Fragmentary March Of Green

  7. Pale Rider is a trio from San Francisco, CA, combining elements of dark, heavy psychedelic rock, doom metal, and electronic noise / drone. Consisting of 2 bass players and a drummer, the band places heavy emphasis on the usage of effects pedals, noise synthesizers, and repetitious drum patterns. PR's latest release, "The Cosmic Trigger Pt II", was released December 19, 2015 by Mother Sky Tapes in a pressing of 250 records. You can stream and download the entire thing for free (as well as other releases - all free) at the bandcamp site. The 12" is $12 for 35 minutes of tunes. There are also a few tapes remaining of the first release ($5). Bandcamp - https://paleridersf.bandcamp.com/ Online Shop - http://motherskytapes.bigcartel.com/ Instagram Nonsense - @paleridertheband

  10. Was going to put this in the dream pop thread but after looking at its beauty and listening on youtub I thought it should have its own thread. Russian(?) dreampop/shoegaze with a bandcamp page in Spanish, from a UK label. Hmm. Not sure what to make of it but sounds like a great record. 11. http://www.gofundme.com/dad-sixdeep Please help!!... We want The Six Deep "Girl Its Over/ I Must Go" 45 on De'Lynn Records label. We aren't sure how to get this thing started really, so we are sharing this where ever we can. We are in desperate need of getting my Dad's super rare 45 rpm record for his 70th birthday. Unfortunately it is way out of my wife and I's price range. Dad, like most hippies, didn't keep any of his old music stuff and moved on to a professional career. We just recently found out he was even in a band! Please contribute to our GoFundMe and definitely spread the word! Thanks for your help VC! http://www.gofundme.com/dad-sixdeep

  13. Mi amigo and now Long Beach local William Alexander AKA Weezy from Murda Corner is releasing a solo LP that just went up for pre-order. It's on lavender vinyl and limited to 200 copies. If you'e a fan of really spacey lo fi jizz this might be up your alley. I personally find it pretty impressive that it's just one dude making all of this. Strangest Things LP $17 https://williamalexander.bandcamp.com/album/strangest-things One of his many other projects The Meanest Girls. Reminds me a early Beta Band
  14. Hi, I'm looking for a copy of Ryley Walker and Daniel Bachman's Of Deathly Premonitions cassette. I'm also looking for a few noise cassettes: Tiger Hatchery - Death Hatchery Heat Death - Meat Breath ITDN Group Presents... Piz-Az Vol. 1 If you've got any of these, please get in touch. Cheers
  15. Like many of you, I follow SlyVinyl just to keep up. After learning that a band called Kill West was releasing an album on vinyl, I also learned of its previous tape incarnation which led me to this small label. Ongakubaka Records only houses four albums under the label so far, but they're all melty ass-kickin psych-garage hits that deserve to be heard. http://ongakubakarecords.bandcamp.com/ 4-5 dollar tapes in that link. For those of you wanting the Kill West vinyl, the link is here: http://www.echodrug.com/store 100 on splatter, 200 on clear smoke vinyl. Some really great record/tape covers in there too, goddamn. Didn't take me long to develop a cult-like following to this label.
  16. STB records is putting out the new Lightsabres' record. Obi series splatter vinyl is the only variant available after it going on sale 10 minutes ago. #'d and limited to 100. Imagine Solstice & QOTSA thrown into a blender. http://stbrecords.bigcartel.com/products 2nd half of the album picks up the pace a bit but here's the opening track: Whole album can be streamed here: https://lightsabres.bandcamp.com/album/beheaded Euro variant: http://lightsabres.bigcartel.com/
  17. Nice to see these dudes back. Hope it's good, hope they still got it! http://www.mexicansummer.com/shop/dungen-allas-sak/
  18. Holidays Records puts out some pretty out there stuff that usually sells pretty quickly. I'm surprised this is still available so I figured I'd post it here. Squadra Omega Il Serpent Nel Cielo 12". 250 copies total. 200 on black. 50 on clear blue haze. If I had to describe them, I'd say their sound falls somewhere between Faust & a band currently on the roster of Beyond Beyond Is Beyond Records. Link for blue vinyl is here from the label in Italy: http://www.holidaysrecords.it/Forced Exposure is US distro for Holidays but I'm guessing this is black vinyl: http://www.forcedexposure.com/SearchResult.html?SearchType=Basic&Type=label&Key=holidays You can also still pick up the Gruppo Di yadda-yadda(Ennio Morricone) Eroina 12" from here which has sold out from everywhere else now. Here's one of their previous records. Their stuff varies quite a bit so I'd check out some of their other stuff too prior to purchasing:
  19. I didn't think to post this when the pre-orders went up but the 2 color variants of the lp which were limited to 200 each sold out pretty quickly. But if anyone is interested, the first color they had listed is now back up at Beyond Beyond Is Beyond Records Milky clear & bronze haze with a poster is $22. I can't imagine they have many left. There is also a black vinyl version for $16 & $20 w/ a poster. Order here.
  20. I don't think I've seen any real interested in this band, but who knows. Anyway, Six Organs of Admittance - Hexadic. Came out yesterday. $18 PPD from Drag City. http://www.dragcity.com/products/hexadic
  21. CPR-16: HOLY SONS "Lost Decade II" LP + DIGITAL DOWNLOAD Hidden away in a virtual cave during the 90's, Emil Amos (Om, Grails, Lilacs & Champagne) amassed a catalog of over 1000 songs, never submitting any of them to a label or playing live. Working tirelessly in basements across North Carolina, he used the 4-track as a radical therapeutic device to unravel various psychological conflictions and capture an ongoing spiritual implosion on tape. 15 Years after the first volume of songs from that era was released ["Lost Decade" in '99], a second volume has been dug out and rescued from endless piles of cassettes. There's an unparalleled intimacy to these recordings that could probably only be compared to Daniel Johnston's walkman tapes made while he was committed in a psych ward. In a ritualistic attempt to capture the rawest picture of human behavior, mescaline was ingested regularly before recording... giving a witchy glow to the songs in this collection. For any long-time Holy Sons listener this collection fills in some of the blanks of one of the most reticent and under-acknowledged song-writer/producers of the last 20 years. Features contributions from Duncan Trussell. LIMITED TO 500 COPIES ON CLEAR VINYL. Order @ http://www.chromepeeler.com/order.html STILL AVAILABLE: MERZBOW / THE GUILT OF...
