  1. Hi VC: Looking to upgrade from a Crosley I got for the holidays from my girlfriend a few years ago. Haven't played it in about a year, after learning how bad the needle is for the records. As of right now I am considering a U-Turn, just a matter of which Orbit: As of right now I am considering the following: U-Turn Orbit Basic MDF platter and CN5625AL cartridge Built-in preamp (added) Cue lever (added) U-Turn Orbit Plus Acrylic platter and Ortfon OM5E cartridge Built-in preamp (added) Cue lever (added) Going to pair either of these with the Audioengine A2+ Powered Speakers. Looks like the price will be $289 vs. $399 unless I get one of the wood plinths. Any Orbit owners have any input? Thanks!
  2. Uturn is releasing their own phono preamp called the PLUTO. est $99. Out in the next 6 weeks. Comes in white or black. Full specs coming soon. Should be an interesting budget phono preamp. Thoughts?
  3. Thanks for considering my setup question. I am a relatively new collector (2 years), and I am trying to plan out a new turntable setup. I recently purchased a U-Turn Orbit Plus turntable. I plan on ordering a Project Audio Phone Box MM pre-amp. Here's my questions(s): Does anyone have any experience with setting up a turntable/pre-amp to a Sonos Play:5? I would really like to play music in different rooms throughout my house. Clearly, I'm concerned that there could be audio integrity issues? Any comments on ease of setup? Other suggestions/comments/criticism? I appreciate any advice you might lend.
