-tess.
Lots of East Bay stuff in this thread. Shouldn't it be titled, "Bay Area VC"? Anyway, never been to Homeroom yet. Sure! I'll change it.

Canal Ocho
Tried the Hawaiian at Homeroom the other day. Comes with hvarti cheese, bacon, pineapple and scallions (I have an allergy so I skipped the scallions); so delicious.

lexicondevil
You must. I remember when they first opened and I found out it was going to be extra to get bread crumbs, it just kinda pissed me off. Most great mac and cheese has breadcrumbs and it seemed a little nickel dime to charge for old crushed toast. Do they even bake the mac? I really like the mac and cheese at Broken Record in the city. I don't know if they are still serving it. I actually make some kickass mac, so I am biased.

Pretty positive they bake it. But everyone has their own tastes!

Canal Ocho
Random long shot, but does anyone have an extra pair of 3/13 Springsteen tix they'd like to sell?
lexicondevil
Random long shot, but does anyone have an extra pair of 3/13 Springsteen tix they'd like to sell? Wish I could help, but unless I get run over by a truck, I am going to that show. Good luck in your search.

Ended up scoring a pair of tix, so I should be there (unless I got scammed). lexicondevil
lexicondevil
I finally dragged my ass over to Homeroom on Easter, so I can at least have an informed opinion. I liked it. I got the garlic mac with bacon and breadcrumbs added. The flavors and textures were on point. The price was pretty high, but I did have enough for leftovers for lunch today, so not bad. I don't know if I'd wait in a line to get in, but we got lucky and got there before the rush. All in all I would say I will probably go back. It was tough not to stop at Clove and Hoof on the way there, because their burger and fries are top tier tastiness. Fries cooked in beef fat? Yes. 6heart6breaker6
I feel like a super dumbdumb lollipop head for not tapping into this thread before my bay area trip 2 weeks ago. We all could have just had a grand ole' time. Needed help finding good places to dance during the week. Anyways, saw some bluegrass and that was satisfying enough.
