PO NOW: Morrissey - World Peace is None Of Your Business

Am I the only one who did ship to store?

I did ship to store and paid with Paypal and still got it cancelled.

Per HT Customer Support, they are gone. They are sending a message to their inventory folks to update the site to show that it is sold out online.  Not sure what the cutoff is, but my order was placed at 9:28am EDT, so if you are after that, you are SOL.  Bummer.

Travis, any chance you can post the list of East Coast stores that have this in stock?

Mine was placed at 9:28 EDT, mine still only shows fulfillment and has not been billed yet, seems like I am a goner too.

I hope they issue a repress or additional quantities, It's really crumby how many of us got our hopes up.

i wonder how something like this happens? it sells out online in hours one day, then more appear the next day only to sell out rather quickly, but then it appear again. lol, it's like someone is flicking a switch on and off....

and this happens with almost every HT release. It is so annoying.

Reposting this to hopefully help some folks with getting a copy. It's possible some stores here may have sold out already and it's possible it may still be in transit to some of these stores.

All of these stores should be getting copies soon if they dont have them already

I just talked to them, I don't know how much information they get in the call center, I actually entered my incorrect billing information so I updated it with them, I informed the customer service rep the order cancellations people are getting and she informed me mine should be in the warehouse for shipping tomorrow? I am praying this happens.

Guy I talked to said he doesn't know why my order was cancelled but it looks like there's still some left. He said to try and place the order again, but I can't because they're holding my funds.

that's crazy. can't he just reactivate your old order? or tell you why the order was cancelled in the first place?

Funny how the page count doubles as soon as there's a mishap with the hot topic variant. Haha.

What do you guys think of this record as a whole? When I received my ultimate bundle, I was excited beyond words, but when I listened to the album front to back while reading the lyrics, I was a little, i don't know. Confused, for lack of a better word. So I slept on it, and put the cd in my car and listened to it on my drives here and there and started to like it more. So I gave it a few more listens from front to back now it's 99 percent definitely my AOTY. Although, I don't think this album is for anyone who doesn't have an "intimate" (I guess?) relationship with Morrissey's music. I can see people being turned off by this record pretty easily.

Based off the pre-release songs that we got, I wasn't holding out much hope.  It's taken me awhile to warm up to the Tobias/Walker/Boorer combo.  Years of Refusal (which I enjoyed) was really urgent and Ringleader didn't grab me like Quarry did (which was much easier to digest...Ringleader felt forced to me at the time).  I think they got it right this time around though.  I agree with the idea that anyone that isn't intimate with Morrissey's music might be turned off, but I would't say that's any different that any of his other records though.  You either "get" Morrissey...or you just don't.

That said, I was a bit put off by this album at first listen.  The 1.5 minutes of nothing being the intro to "I'm Not A Man" still seems odd (especially as track #3...maybe better for an album closer or opener?) and '"Staircase At The University" seemed...lazy...with the lyric being repeated twice throughout the song (now, I think that song is damn near an instant classic with all of the elements that make a killer Morrissey track in the same space).  "Smiler With A Knife" spins it's wheels a little, but "Kick The Bride..." makes up for it.  On second and third listen, it really clicked and all of the songs just unfolded after that.  "Oboe Concerto" is like the cousin to "Death of a Disco Dancer" to my ears.  It's really a spectacular record from start to finish IMHO.  AOTY?  Maybe.  It's definitely my favorite album so far.

A lot of great points here. I would like to say that Ringleader is tied with Viva Hate and Vauxhall and I for my favorite Morrissey album. The entire record just grasps me on an entirely different level than any of his other music. I have the tattoo to say so:

Enough boasting. Haha. Now that I'm really into it, I feel the strength on every track, especially I'm Not A Man, although I could deal without the first minute and a half of nothing and the "beef-a-roni" remark, but that's just Moz. Oboe Concerto, lyrically, is probably one of the best album closers I've ever heard.
