distinctlydustin
Can I get some help here? The one I have now sucks. How do you rate the Discwasher D4 Kit? No, I do not have money for a VPI; Reddit can tell me to buy that or get out of buying vinyl because I suck.
danionly
I'd read through this: http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/75550-cleaning-your-records
hezagenius
Are you looking for an anti-static brush or a cleaning brush? The D4 is more of a cleaning brush. You get the brush wet and wipe it along the record and theoretically pick up the dust on the surface before playback. These aren't really designed for serious cleaning, just for picking up surface particles prior to playing a record. They are not electrically conductive so there is no real way these dissipate static on their own. The water you add to the brush can help with static. For anti-static, try these: http://www.amazon.com/AudioQuest-LP-record-clean-brush/dp/B0006VMBHI/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1398099064&sr=8-5&keywords=anti-static+brush Lots of companies make this type of brush and they all look about the same. I have the Audioquest and I like it. These are conductive so you can dissipate static to some degree with these. I touch a ground post while I use this. Just don't press too hard or you'll add more static than you remove.
