jrodan
This is the regular album dude. The regular "album" was always a mix of those things. It wasn't an album all recorded in a studio but the songs they had good recordings of that was released before they signed to a major label. Oof. mrewest
Oh shit I'm an idiot. Disregard my dumb post that I will be editing.
adschnei
Who is manufacturing this? It doesnt look like MOV. Also, is it a re-issue if it's never technically been on vinyl??
Blaine
Thanks for the info. I'll keep an eye on this. The price is a bit high, but it doesn't look like a decision is required immediately.
mmcdermo
Who is manufacturing this? It doesnt look like MOV. Also, is it a re-issue if it's never technically been on vinyl?? This is the what I have seen. Chris Bellman at Bernie Grudman Mastering cut this album, and it’s being pressed in France at MPO.
andi
Bring on 'Under The Table...'!!! Alice in Chains
timsimmons
Under the table is 20 this fall. I could see them starting a (re)issue campaign around it then. So the need to get R2T out now makes it possible.
kramer73
With this news out, I'm sure the band will have pre-orders soon.
Jdk261
I don't even know if I want this THAT bad, but I know I don't want to regret getting it when it's sold out and $300 on ebay/amazon...I think I might have to bite the bullet...
Alice in Chains
Dont know if I will be ordering this, but this is a great glimpse of hope for those of us who want DMBs back catalog issued on vinyl

atticus
Will buy. Don't care. Shut up.
atticus
Also I'm wondering how much better they can actually make the sound quality on this one. The early demo stuff was pretty rough and I don't think the live tracks were even recorded multitrack (more of a house mic RL or RCL). Either way I'm pumped for a back catalog run. Especially to (hopefully) get some of those uber-compressed Lillywhite mixes to break the chains of the repressive limiter that they've been under for so long. oojavaguru
FYI...for those wondering about quality, etc.: "The double-LP set will be cut from new lacquers, prepared by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Masterming. It will feature the original album packaged in an individually numbered gatefold jacket and include a new eight-page booklet with full lyrics and rare and previously unpublished photos of the band. What's more, a download card will offer fans two previously unreleased bonus tracks: early studio versions of "Pay For What You Get" and "Typical Situation", which have been remastered by original album engineer David Glasser." First time I noticed it was cut from new lacquers and also that each copy is numbered, which means that this is limited to a certain number. This is now also up on DMB's website: http://davematthewsband.shop.musictoday.com/Product.aspx?cp=1_65956&pc=DMLP08
