krisakarcher
Does anyone have any good suggestions on a way to fix warped records? I've read somethings online about glass and using an oven but that seems insane to me. What's everyone's opinion on here what to do with a warped record? I love how just about every first reply is either a link to another thread (mostly broken) or "put it in your oven" wakka wakka wakka
Metal Mike
I've had great luck placing somewhat warped records between two heavy panes of glass and then piling heavy shit on top. It may take it a week or more to get results, but it's worked on records that had previously thrown the needle.
tarzioo_
I had success with the heavy book trick. I left it over a week and it's not perfect, but it's a huge improvement. Just make sure it's on a flat surface and the book is pretty heavy.

GradedOnACurve
I actually feel like yeah this is a valid question, i even tried to make a catch all thread about it to avoid threads like this. Didn't exactly take off.
littlebistro
It's not catching on because there's no fool proof way to fix a warped record. I will never recommend putting your record in an oven though.

I will never recommend putting your record in an oven though. I'm aware. Just wanted it to be a catch all for what works for them. Some people have done the oven successfully. I use books and weights over a 2 week period. Other people have a method or two as well, but would rather share it over a multitude of threads. No biggie.
