Vinyl is readily available though so I don't get the need for a cassette, can someone fill me in or is it just to complete a cassette discography? Rules was an unofficial birdtape release almost three years ago if i'm not mistaken. I think it was a run of 100 or so. For a very long time it was impossible to find as bird tapes started to slow down movement and Alex's momentum took off exponentially. Until Lucky Number signed him and did a vinyl and cd pressing, this hard to track down cassette was the only possible way to own a physical copy of the album (which is a favorite to many of us). Over the years we've all missed copies on the aftermarket, most notably for myself an ebay auction of a RULES+SALT combo that I lost because it went above all the money I had at the time ($42) So there is definitely a crazy demand for this that you weren't aware of. In the past month tyler from bird tapes has become vocal again and has given the remaining stock of many of bird tapes sought after releases to DDW and RFC as distro. Alex is my favorite artist from the past five years and I listen to tapes more than records, so, i dunno. Someone posted a link to the mac demarco double tape and I was pretty happy to finally get one of those for a fair price then I saw RULES in the related items section below and internally began running laps of excitement! The guy who had 3 copies of rules and 4 copies of the alex g split.. I was gonna trade him dsu for rules but when i ordered a copy i messaged him to apologize and ask him not to send rules and that I had to back out. Anyway I told him about rfc putting up the tapes before I posted on here, right around the time rfc said someone tried to buy every copy. I'm not accusing him but that is spooky coincidental.
