piky0032
Second album going to vinyl - Pre Orders Via Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tellurian-VINYL-Soen/dp/B00NUNQ170/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1411989813&sr=8-3&keywords=soen+tellurian First album was awesome, hopefully that gets a pressing. New song is pretty straight forward, sounds good,
The Vool
Really looking forward to this release (not particularly on vinyl, but in general)! I liked their "Cognitive" a lot and hope it will be pressed on vinyl one day! Good to see Martin Lopez is doing well! BTW, interesting cover
piky0032
Got the download of this and listened before the record arrives.........Apart from the Killer chorus on Tabula Rasa.....nothing is really jumping out at me like some of the songs on Cognitive did
The Vool
I think this one needs quite some more time than "Cognitive" which was more accessible! Further, I think that they defined their own sound with this record! Cognitive was too Tool-ish (which is a quite good thing IMO ) but I like their sound and I'm enjoying this record! Gave it around 6-8 spins until now and I think this is a TOP3-of-2014-candidate for me!

piky0032
Its pretty awesome.....I have been listening to it heaps.....stll doesnt top cognitive for me.....not as heavy.....but its still awesome
The Vool
I haven't listened "Cognitive" for quite a while now...I know there were a few songs I really liked and as you said it is heavier than "Tellurian"... IMO, "Tellurian" sounds a bit more mature, is way more progressive and orientates itself more at Opeth's "Blackwater Park" (without growls obviously) and Porcupine Tree's "In Absentia" which both are two of my alltime favorites...maybe that's the reason I like "Tellurian" better! ...speaking of Opeth's BWP...I mostly listen to "Tellurian" in the car on my way to work/home and find myself confused at because I thought it's Mikael Akerfeldt singing Take "Pluton" for example...this is a new version of "Harvest" :D
markok
Listened to the first five songs - why do they have to sound exactly like Tool?
