topher
Here is the real question. How much is the most you've ever spent on a cassette? $11 for a sealed copy of Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile, 2xCass. It's rad.
isavedlatin54
Like $9 bucks probably. I get a LOT of free cassettes due to the fact that I write cassette corner for modern-vinyl.
radiatorhums
I spend $30-35 on the deafheaven demo cassette a few years back. Other than that, I think $10 is the most I've paid and the packaging was elaborate.
Shinji
Just bought Sister by Sonic Youth for $18 and I don't regret it at all.

whoshotthefrog
Most of the cassettes I have are from my youth. Lots of old school harcore, thrash, sludge, and even a few rap cassettes.

kamalatapes
Where are some cool companies to get tapes pressed with? I've been flirting with the idea of running edition of 50 demo cassettes for some of my friends bands

kamalatapes
What's your cassette player set up like?
radiatorhums
Pricing on NCA didn't look too bad, could probably put out a good release of 100 for a few hundred dollars (depending upon what it costs to procure the licensing or whatever). Plus it looks like the handle mastering.

Go buy it seconded. my band just got 100 cassettes made with them for just under $200 including shipping, and they turned out super awesome. NAC is totally backed. Guest Timbo_Slice
I love when bands tour through with cassettes. They are more practical than records…more durable, you can play them in your car, you can press them for cheap. When I go see a house show with touring acts I don't know, I am always much more inclned to buy cassettes, and then track down records if I dig the tape.
