Black Friday/Cyber Monday Equipment Deals

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to upgrade my audio equipment this holiday season and was wondering if anyone knew of any places, physical or online, that will be discounting their speakers, turntables, amps, etc this week. I figured I'm not the only one and didn't see any other threads dedicated to it so lets see what's available! Thanks for the help!

what is your budget? I could waste a lot of time listing out good deals on components that you aren't interested in.

I was planning on getting a Pro-ject Debut Carbon turntable in the next month or so unless there was a killer deal on something else. For the speakers and stereo or amp/pre-amp I was looking to spend between $500-$700 in total.

Just ordered a pair of M-Audio BX5 monitors for $149 from Sam Ash's Black Friday sale (Guitar Center has them for the same price but they had sold out online). Amazon has only one pair in stock priced at $319.99.

Also, sucks that turntablelab changed the discount from 20% to 10%. Nevertheless, i ordered this Pro-ject Debut Carbon DC for $404.10, rather than paying $449 for it. They had sold out of the regular Debut Carbon. I figured it was worth it to get the Debut Carbon DC from turntablelab with the discount rather than paying $399 anywhere else for the regular Debut Carbon.

Couldn't find a thread on it, but they did a good job explaining the differences between the Debut Carbon and the Debut Carbon DC here: http://turntablelab.com/pages/the-difference-between-pro-ject-debut-carbon-debut-and-carbon-dc-turntables

So my new Turntable and Speakers ran at $553.10.

Without the discounts, had I gone with Amazon, I would have spent $768.99 on the same items.

I'm also looking to upgrade this season.
Any deals anyone has seen on floor speakers, receiver and pre-amp (together or separate)?

Dealing with a 800 dollar max budget.

I have a 70's receiver and would like something nicer.  It's got a built in pre-amp so I don't have a separate one... speakers are decent too, but not without their limitations (right channel has banana plug ins and left matching speaker has one banana and one screw clamp style... receiver has screw clamp style so it's a real Frankenstein shit show to make it all work.... there is some slight crackling most of the time and I assume it's the receiver.)
