I was planning on getting a Pro-ject Debut Carbon turntable in the next month or so unless there was a killer deal on something else. Dealing with a 800 dollar max budget. I have a 70's receiver and would like something nicer. It's got a built in pre-amp so I don't have a separate one... speakers are decent too, but not without their limitations (right channel has banana plug ins and left matching speaker has one banana and one screw clamp style... receiver has screw clamp style so it's a real Frankenstein shit show to make it all work.... there is some slight crackling most of the time and I assume it's the receiver.)
