Drive By Truckers - A Blessing And A Curse (350 pressed)

https://www.newburycomics.com/products/drive-by_truckers-a_blessing_and_a_curse_exclusive_lp?variant=2463028051980

Email received this morning:

We're dipping back into the Drive-By Truckers catalog for another Newbury Comics exclusive colored vinyl release... this time around, we're reissuing their sixth album - A Blessing And A Curse. Their last record before Jason Isbelljumped ship just over a decade ago, A Blessing... remains a controversial record in Drive-By Truckers' history. At the time it was seen as a bit of a move away from their Southern roots, now it just sounds like the band doing what they do best... evolving. Get in.

Our version of A Blessing And A Curse is pressed on 180-Gram Orange Swirl Vinyl in an edition of 350 pieces.

Out on 5/11 and available for pre-order now.

Really pretty, especially Quarters, but weird choices since Castleface had/has variants of each while other King Gizz albums have barely been repressed recently.

Those are the only two that Castleface has pressed to my knowledge and they are probably the only label that has allowed Newbury to press their releases.

This might be Newbury's most flagrant cash grab/price inflated offering yet. Both of these are in stock at Castleface, for less money, AND in colored variations. wtf? Normally Newbury at least picks stuff that doesn't have colored variations readily available elsewhere.

Gizz collectors are nuts and Newbury knows they'll buy it regardless

Picked up a new exclusive red pressing of QOTSA - Like Clockwork at their Boston Calling tent this weekend, they did a lowkey early release at the festival and I was told that it will be officially announced in the next couple weeks or so. No word on pressing numbers yet, though.

Got pics? Is it the deluxe pallas pressing or standard pressing?
