David Bowie - Blackstar is on sale at Fry's Electronics for $13.99. Going there soon to pick up a copy finally (I had a really had time justifying $30 even for Bowie)

Had no idea Fry's even sold records.  I have one about an hour from me that I haven't been to in years.

Has Popmarket gone belly up or anything?

1) Their website is down indefinitely.

2) They have not replied to three emails sent to them since late January, other than with an automated reply that they are backed up.

FYI I have a problem with an order I placed with them in late January.

Yeah, now that you mention it, I haven't gotten my daily THREE emails from them since Thursday.  You ought to do a chargeback with your credit card while you still can.

They are still posted music news (not deals) on Facebook and Twitter. So unless someone didn't tell their social media guy, I guess they will come back soon. But given all the different ways we've come up with to run the company better, it wouldn't surprise me if they forgot to tell someone they are done.

I had an outstanding order for a Sunday deal since mid-January that was not fulfilled on their end.  I emailed them twice and finally heard back from them last night to cancel my order saying that it wasn't in stock.  Not entirely sure they would have naturally closed the order on their end unless I hadn't been pushing for an update.  Three weeks is pretty long for them to figure out they don't have it in stock especially when they have been so reliable in the past.

I have to say the same, cant stop listening to it. Also, Teens of Style and How to Leave Town are a little less refined but good as well.

I pray for the day we get the back catalog on vinyl, but Will has mentioned that

1. He lost the masters for Twin Fantasy (and possibly others) in a computer crash

2. He'd rather re-record them and release that than press the existing versions

I'd rather have the original versions though. Especially Twin Fantasy, Nervous Young Man, and How To Leave Town...the day I get to hear "The Ending of Dramamine" on wax is gonna be a good one.

I don't even know who/what band you're talking about but that's the kind of thing you'd want to pay someone significant cash to recover from a failed hard drive.

Artist is Car Seat Headrest, which was, for a while, a solo project released on bandcamp. The masters basically equated to GarageBand or ProTools files. I think the crash was a while back, too, but I'm fuzzy on the details.

One has to wonder how many copies of Husker Du and Black Flag albums are available. Maybe one a piece? :)

Even with the Husker Du and Black Flag, $42 with shipping seems like a lot for 5 random albums.  I probably wouldn't think to spend more than $10 on any of the albums in that pile they're advertising.
