theshredhi
Pitchfork has the release date as May 18, sterogum just says May. Either way, excited! Great song.
sinatra.45
Pitchfork has the release date as May 18, sterogum just says May. Either way, excited! Great song. I grabbed the news from Consequence of Sound which had April 19 but based on the other articles I've found, it looks like the common date being given is 5/18. Good catch! timsimmons
Yeah. About a week ago. It's really good. I think the end is a bit weak but I still may like the album more than Drop.
Vern
Just finished my first listen. Good album! For now I like Drop more, but who knows, this might change after a few more listens. Holy Smoke is stunning.
Vern
Preorder is up now on Castle Face. Coloured vinyl is in an edition of 1500. Looks gnarly.

youspinmeround
They pressed 10k copies of this record.......
spoon
Unless I'm mistaken and the whole of the 10k actually goes out to distributors/stores, I'm surprised they don't list black vinyl along with the colored vinyl once it first drops. You'd think they could make a bit of extra money from people who are keen to own the album regardless of color.
segal-train
Did the black copies go on sale at all or was it just the limited?
youspinmeround
Black copies always go on sale I believe the label only holds a certain amount and the rest goto distributors/retail
spoon
Also if anyone was curious the band was selling copies of this early last week along with the new Damaged Bug LP. Only black copies at the time but its possible they just hadn't received the colored copies yet.
segal-train
Black copies always go on sale I believe the label only holds a certain amount and the rest goto distributors/retail Yeah, seemed weird that they would sell out first day along with the variants. They must have been in pretty short supply on the site.
segal-train
I can't get over how much I am enjoying this album. This will probably end up my favorite album by JD and co.
jack8urt0n
I've got Sticky Hulks on repeat for the last hour. This song is the jam.
Vern
Just received the LP. Holy shizz, this record is beautifully mixed. May be the best sounding Thee Oh Sees record yet.

youspinmeround
Post some pics of what the record looks like Cant wait to get this and the new King this week in the mail I saw the Thee Oh Sees in austin at psych fest last week and in denver. That dual drum attack is the best live incarnation of the band JD has ever had
