cwhitmuzik
i need to count it, may be more like top 20. easy #1 of 2013 for me. 2011 was a special year
Derek™
I mean, it's not a bad record in the least. I still enjoy it. But despite Foreword probably being my favorite release of theirs, Pneuma will always be the defining Moving Mountains record in my books. KJL95
Does anyone else like Waves as much as I do? That's probably my favorite or at least tied with Pneuma

mrewest
I'll agree that Foreward is probably my favorite of theirs, but S/T is next. All of their releases seem pretty different but each have that "MM touch" to it. It's a shame they broke up. I loved Waves a lot when I first heard it but I kind of grew tired of it after a while. cwhitmuzik
I don't like Waves at all. Easily the most generic stuff they've done

omik11303
Foreword and Pneuma are tied at the top for me, personally. S/T has a lot of great tracks but a few really weak ones, so its a distant third.
parkinglot
I love everything this band has done. I have a note on my phone that I just came across from December 15, 2010 that reads: "O'Brother La Dispute mewithoutyou envy saetia christie front drive mogwai this will destroy you slint moving mountains" God bless recs from /mu/ hahahahaha. abovetheearth
s/t is the most drab generic laziest albums i have ever heard. bought it blind. sold it immediately. its the same song split into 11 right? sarcasm.
cwhitmuzik
I never thought this band would be better quiet than loud until I heard s/t. Every song is perfect get out

andables
Pneuma > Foreward > S/T > Waves Wish the Demos for Pneuma could see a pressing at some point.
RadDonut
s/t is definitely their best work IMO! Such a beautiful album. For those of you who discounted it should really give it a proper listen again. My wife never asks me what record I'm playing but when I put s/t on she was like "Whoa! Who is this?? I LOVE IT!"
highfives
Pneuma > Foreward > S/T > Waves Wish the Demos for Pneuma could see a pressing at some point. Those demos are so rough. The vocals are terrible on them.

My wife never asks me what record I'm playing but when I put s/t on she was like "Whoa! Who is this?? I LOVE IT!" I watched all of those live sessions they did for each song & that helped me fall in love with the album also. Everything sounded incredible. Makes me want to go watch all of those on You Tube again. parkinglot
S/T is amazing. It took a very long time for it to grow on me as much as it did though. At first I thought it was boring.
drds89
Foreword ftw and I'll keep my OG Pneuma that was a gift from a friend to be cherished. My sentiments echo Secret Sweetheart, Derek and Batman above Played the S/T Green at least 10 times and like Yukon Cornelius... nuttin'. Can't all be faves. Sold to someone at cost who really loves them. Kept the shirt, and sold the slipmat to the guy with the WTB thread on here who was looking for it. I do enjoy hearing other peoples' favorites with Mov Mou because of the diversity. But I repeat.... Foreword ftw
Shelby
I'll throw my hat in for Foreword. Of course I also haven't listened to their last two LPs for whatever reason.
cwhitmuzik
I was so meh on s/t after one, two, three listens. By listen ten I was floored. By 25 I knew this was an all time favorite rcafilm
