Birthmark is the recording alias of multi-instrumentalist Nate Kinsella, who on top of releasing 3 previous albums under the moniker, has collaborated with his cousins Mike and Tim Kinsella in various projects over the years (Owen, American Football, Joan of Arc, Make Believe).

Kinsella's brand new Birthmark full-length, How You Look When You're Falling Down, features horn arrangements by members of the iconic New York Afrobeat group Antibalas and TV On the Radio’s touring band, as well as strings by the acclaimed contemporary classical Mivos Quartet.

Listen to the first two singles from the album, including "Find Yourself" and "Suit of Armor," a track Noisey calls: a glitchy, upbeat indie rock song that manages to merge Kinsella's avant-garde tendencies with a welcomed pop sensibility that's as complex as it is contagious.
