MrMystery
Not now but to quote discogs it doesn t come " with clear plastic wallet housing the vinyl"
rooks
Shrink wrap? Haha I don't know.. they shrink wrap the record? I can't imagine how they would keep the same packaging style with your typical white sleeve insert... would look terrible. It's gotta be the same plastic wallet. Only difference I've read about is an etching in the wax.
MrMystery
Yeah shrink wrap !! that s the word i was looking for Thanks for helping me make a proper sentence !!! Shame on me
vinyl addict
The vinyl record itself is wrapped in shrinkwrap? I think there's a misunderstanding somewhere
rooks
They shrink wrapped the vinyl itself??? The Original press's JACKET was shrinkwrapped as well. What we're curious about is the INSIDE. What is the record held in? White paper, or a plastic wallet.
itsgoodtobefree
I think he might be referring to the PVC sleeve that the record came in?
rooks
No, I think it's just JACKET vs. SLEEVE confusion. The JACKET is wrapped in plastic, as most records are. Shrinkwrap, which is thrown away. The SLEEVE is sometimes color printed, or black, or white paper, or white paper with thin cellophane material covering the cetner hole.... In the first press the SLEEVE was a thick PVC-esque clear plastic sleeve. That held the record and protected it from the elements, because of the big cut-out star in the cover. I'm willing to bet the packaging is the same as it was and matrix runouts are the only difference.
MrMystery
Fuck yes : no pvc sleeve but the record in clear wallet. Sometimes i just talk shit guys
vinyl addict
From SHtv forum, just posted a few minutes ago. "I stuck my (EU) copy in a fresh Nagaoka inner inside the stiff clear plastic inner, surely that will protect it from any issues. Mine is the repress as it has the 2016 date on the sleeve, the matrix is 1A/1B, so I've no idea if that is any different from the first issue."
