fondfarewell Posted December 1, 2015 Share Posted December 1, 2015 Ben Lee's "Awake is the New Sleep" is getting pressed on vinyl for the first time as a 10th anniversary expanded deluxe edition (180 gram double LP with demos, outtakes and live radio versions of some tracks). For me, this is his second-best album behind the Grand Royal classic "Something to Remember Me By", and I'm very glad to see it come to vinyl. Available at multiple retailers in the $26-28 range, including: Amazon (Prime-eligible) SRC Bull Moose (soon -- and looks like it might've originally been slated for BFRSD) iTunes and Amazon have slightly different tracklists for the extras, but it should include: 15. Begin (Demo) 16. How Lovers Pray (Outtake) 17. Gamble Everything for Love (Live on KEXP) 18. New Old Song (Outtake) 19. Desire (Outtake) 20. No Right Angles (Live on KEXP) And maybe: 21. But i'm not sure i can bring myself to preorder at these prices. $45CAD on amazon.ca after taxes. I'm pretty sure it will be a lot cheaper than that after it's released. I was quite surprised (and a bit annoyed) because my cd and different downloaded versions I've heard aren't edited! Other than that, mines great. Dead quiet.
