No receiver. I'm a poor folk.

No judgement. You can get pretty decent used ones from thrift stores if you find one. They come and go at my Goodwills and whatnot.

Also, I'd forgotten how hard it was to find songs that flowed appropriately and how fun it is.

I was able to listen to some great songs while deciding what direction to take it.

Andy gets the first glimpse into my brain.

$40 shitty mixtape is done. And I agree 100% on it being hard to find a nice steady flow. I always end up adding a shit ton of songs to a playlist in iTunes then having to sort through it all. I think when I was making yours I had like 30 songs picked out for one side. It's like "which of my beautiful babies doesn't make the cut?"

Haha. My approach was solely based on what I was feeling after listening to the previous song. A couple of times it was predecided, but those were the songs I've been familiar with for years and years. Also, don't be surprised if you occassionally hear the needle drop.

I just started making mixtapes. Surprisingly, the sound quality I'm getting out of them is amazing. I was able to get a hold of some blank tapes at the flea market I work at. So far, I've made a tape for my Dad with classic rock, disco and funk songs titled "Dad Jams", one for a friend of mostly hard rock and alternative, and a really sweet Christmas mixtape. I don't think I'll ever get into collecting cassettes the way I do with vinyl, but making mixtapes has so far been really fun. I know it's a little late into the holiday season but if anyone would like a Christmas mixtape PM me. songs from- "Elf" soundtrack, a hallmark Christmas album, a Christmas album I picked up from my local tobacco shop, a Matisyahu Chanukah song, and a Rise Against nightmare before Christmas cover of "making Christmas" are all on there. 60 minute tape.
