Kanye West - The Life of Pablo

Doesn't he literally use the follower / swallower rhyme on Yeezus, too? I legitimately do not understand why everyone praises him as a lyricist. His production skills are definitely adequate, but the hype this guy generates is vastly unwarranted as a whole. Sorry.

His lyrics on College Dropout/Late Registration/My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy are incredible

Production is stellar on the whole discography

To say it's adequate is such an understatement. Bias aside, he's objectively one of the best producers alive and working.

To dislike Kanye is fair

To think he's annoying is fair

To doubt his talent and innovation makes you stupid

But really, there are so few artists that have 7 critically acclaimed albums in a row -- and the fact that they each carry a distinct sound is even more impressive.

I don't like all his stuff, but there a bunch of songs I enjoy. If you like FML, go listen to Low Life by Future fearing The Weeknd.

I don't mind that song. I like The Weeknd's part and the production, but it just sounds like Future is mumbling his way through the song. There are some Future songs I like, but I just think the majority sound the exact same.

It's posted in this thread, you all try skimming the posts for hyperlinks? I'm not gonna do it for you because I've already seen it. Spoiler alert the track list for it is missing Waves.

my bad. I did skim for it and I've been active on this topic and didn't notice it so I thought it was never posted.

Talent is more or less objective

Beethoven is objectively a talented musician

Lots of people don't like classical music

You feel me?

Not quoting this specific post but generally you've been dead on in this thread, I don't ever expect VC to get anything about rap.

Lol dudes saying the autotune trend died out, the biggest and best rappers out there (Drake, Future, Thugger) are all soooo influenced by 808s it's ridiculous
