Derek™
Mmm... new Hammock. What a pleasant surprise. Going to hold out and see if a variant doesn't pop up - like for their last album - but that's awesome news, regardless. Thanks for posting. Yeah, I don't think they've announced it on their official channels yet, and it isn't showing up in the merch store. So I imagine they'll post about it today with more info. But that new song is really great.

Sad Heart
I don't want to spend $32 on a CD/LP bundle when I have no use for a CD. Waiting for a LP only option.

drds89
The Deluxe packages look to be limited to 300 each. The three tracks sound great, and 2 seem to actually belong as much in the postrock as ambient or new-age realms. If those 300 fly out like Oblivion Hymns, they might have another couple hundred waiting in the wings lol. But /300 sounds about right vs. the /50 (then /100) though of Oblivion Hymns. Sad Heart
In case you missed it, 'Clarity', 'Glassy Blue', and 'Dissonance' are on their Bandcamp page: http://shop.hammockmusic.com/album/everything-and-nothing (scroll to the bottom)
radiatorhums
I don't want to spend $32 on a CD/LP bundle when I have no use for a CD. Waiting for a LP only option. Same here. The last two Hammock albums slipped by me somehow. Guess I'll use them to tide me over!

And these new songs are really, really good. They're everything I missed in Oblivion Hymns.
ephemeral
Ordered it off Amazon. I own Oblivion Hymns and I like the 3 new songs more than most of that album. Wish they would press some other stuff to vinyl

highfives
This dropped to $29.99 with Prime on Amazon. That's like $9 cheaper than the official merch store.
highfives
This leaked. It's really solid, with lots of early Hammock vibes. I'm surprised at how many tracks have vocals though. Anyone else listen yet?
EquinoxDesignLab
Gave it a number of listens and its really growing on me. Happy they toned down the strings and the guitar tones have a lot of variety. Never thought we would get borderline 'yelling' in a Hammock song haha (we were so young). So far the first track and you walk around shining like the sun are my favorites. highfives
highfives
Yeah, We Were So Young is a definite departure from typical Hammock. I'm also glad they got a little more involved than what Oblivion Hymns was. I liked that record, but it can be pretty sleep inducing. Considering the nature of ambient and the band's name, sometimes that's the best part.
EquinoxDesignLab
Considering the nature of ambient and the band's name, sometimes that's the best part. Totally agree. I think Chasing after Shadows still strikes the best balance of all their releases, but in my mind, Hammock can do no wrong!
