There Will Be Hell Toupée! (The Donald Trump Thread)

Recommended Posts

So this is still a choice between a citizen who says mean things vs. career politician who has lied, used and abused government all her life for money.

Someone who has built buildings and says mean things vs. someone who voted for the iraq war, obamafail, abused irs, compromised fbi, libya, rise of isis, return of russia threat, etc.,...

Someone the press will scrutinize vs. someone the dnc-msm will never question on any issue.

New set of crooks vs. return of old set of crooks.

71 year old who can't shut his mouth vs. 70 year old who can barely stand up for 10 minutes.

Still only one choice for me.

Dude was 60 (and recently married) in that clip. And fuck normalizing that kind of bullshit. The "boys will be boys" excuse for Trump's behavior (this newest thing and every other demeaning, chauvinistic, entitled thing he's done or said) is fucking gross, and is exactly the type of thing that allows sexism to remain ingrained in our culture. I don't know anyone who talks that way. It seems fundamentally incompatible with treating women as equals. I've had plenty of conversations about women, sex, dating, whatever, and never talked about a woman like some kind of docile subservient creature you can trick into doing what you want. Maybe I'm just not Alpha enough. And "women do it too" is a weak excuse, c'mon.

This.

But honestly how does this factor in to someone's ability to lead a country?  You all threw the idea that morality has any bearing on leadership ability out the window with Monica.

On the other hand, the argument of 'Mean Guy' vs 'Crook' is a crock of shit too.  Do you know why Trump doesn't have that reputation? Because he's not in politics.  He's a ruthless businessman and I have no reason to think he won't be just as ruthless in politics.  Will he end up doing as many horrible things as Hillary? Who knows. But if you think he won't under the right circumstances you are kidding yourself.

first off, he has no plans and those he 'does' he's not telling anyone. voting things that will be 'real good' and 'tremendous' don't cut it for me. he hasn't outlined one thing in any debate. any structure? goals? i can say i'm gonna lower taxes too. just did. but i can't tell you how because i don't wanna give it away. seriously? again, for being stuck with these two at least lie and make something up than not even know how it works.

Fuck normalizing rape culture. There's a difference between "That chick has big tits, I'd fuck the shit out of her..." locker room talk and "When you're famous it's ok to sexually assault women"

Anyone defending him at this point truly is fucking deplorable.

(Yes, I'm aware of Bill Clinton's past. Luckily he's not the one running for president)

Nope, just his wife who has excused his behavior and swept every indiscretion, and allegation of the same sort of shit/sexual misconduct or assault under the rug for him.

If anyone here thinks Hillary is any more for women's rights than Trump you're kidding yourself.

She may be a woman, but she's still just a good ole boy.

It's not about now voting for Hillary, it's about not voting for Trump.  If you don't like the other options, don't vote, write in a candidate, but don't vote for Trump just because you think the other candidates are worse, and ignore the really awful shit he is saying/has said.

Don't delete your account.  I think it's important that there is some proof of how these ideas were out of the shadows and openly expressed for an election cycle in 2016.  In 4 years, it will return to a more subversive level and everyone is going to do the opposite of what we do with historic sports games- instead of everyone saying "Yeah! I was at that game!", they'll say "Nope.  I wasn't part of that insane movement."

Also, I haven't gotten to the point where I'd call Trump supporters trash or deplorable.  To me, those are words for people who know better and who gain from abusive and racist actions and policy.

All that said, the idea that it's OK to talk about women that way and that it's a normal characteristic of being a man is deplorable and trashy.  The idea that it's natural or acceptable doesn't fly outside of anti-PC comedy podcast and u-stream message board bro havens.  It's never cool to brag about sexually assaulting people or using your power/influence to gain an advantage when sexually preying on people.

At least POLICY WISE she'll be better for women's rights. Trump has made claims that he'll shut down Planned Parenthood and/or outlaw abortion. It may be empty promises to gain/appease his base, but remember that he'll be appointing a supreme court justice.

The problem is...nobody knows if this is actually true or not. She says one thing, then turns around and contradicts herself the next day.  I also think Trump is much more liberal than he's pretending to be. I still don't support him, but there it is.

In fact, I think you specifically would be very surprised if you read some of those recently leaked emails. The ones that detail excerpts from  her paid speeches to the banking industry.

Are you sure you aren't the one kidding yourself?

In fact, I would still think your statement was bullshit if you were referring to Ivanka Trump.

So wait...which part is bullshit? The part where Hillary Clinton stood behind a husband who has repeatedly abused his power to take advantage of women, has allegedly threatened women to keep them quiet about abuse by him? Or the part where I think that her actions are equally as bad as Trump trying to "sound cool" to a soap opera actor by saying misogynistic locker room shit when he thought he was just shooting the breeze alone with another guy?

I'm not saying what he did was ok, (it's not cool to carelessly talk about sexual assault) or that he's a strong supporter of women's rights. I'm just saying that Hillary is equally as bad for the things she has done and put up with from her husband.

And to turn this around on you in a way I hope you appreciate: Why would it be different if I were referring to Ivanka? Are you saying that just because she's a woman she is a bigger supporter of women's rights? Regressive, dude.

As I've made clear numerous times in here, I'm not a Trump supporter...I just think a lot of people are voting for Hillary because she's the liberal candidate without thinking about her record. As for me, I won't be voting for either. While some of you think that I'll just be throwing my vote away, I see it as my small step toward getting us away from this horrible two party system we're stuck in.

To be fair, not voting is literally throwing your vote away. Not a criticism, that's the text of it. I don't mean that negatively. I had a McDonald's coupon I didn't use, that was figuratively (and literally) throwing it away. I mean, I wasn't going to go there but still, I threw away a half price big Mac or whatever.

Now, voting for Johnson or Stein is throwing your vote away, but with a negative connotation. That's not a protest vote. They're both fucking awful on opposite ends of the spectrum.

I'll say it again, I'm not happily voting for Clinton. I'd vote for a dead dog dick if it meant we would never have a president Trump.

I'm not saying it's a protest vote (voting for Johnson) I'm saying I literally can't bring myself to choose between a shit sandwich and a turd on a bun, so I'm casting my vote for the candidate I most believe in.

Obviously you're entitled to your opinion, but I myself find Johnson to be a much better choice than either of the two candidates the major parties are putting forward.

Dont get me wrong, I'm glad your anti-Hillary vote is also an anti-Trump vote. I just really really can't get behind Johnson. At all. He's harmful in completely different ways than Trump. He's definitely a better human being than Trump, but thats not an accomplishment.

At least he agrees marijuana should be legal and drug addiction should be considered a health issue. But I'm sure he wouldn't want to tax weed or something crazy like that. I'd literally send the government a dollar every time I smoke a bowl. Tax that shit and put it to good use.

Actually I'd imagine he'd want to tax weed. While he's against a lot of taxation, he's for a flat sales tax which I'd guess you're against. The more you spend, the more taxes you pay (which I'm very for).

Weird. Jill Stein is significantly more progressive than Hillary could ever be, plus she's ballsdeep into all that half-baked socialist babble you keep harping on. Maybe you're just super into war crimes and pant suits.
