radiatorhums
The dark theme is a step in the right direction, but it still seems too bright to me (and I'm using f.lux). I'd be happiest if there was an 'old VC' color theme, those colors seemed to be real easy on my peepers.
himynameisShane
the dark themes don't seem to change anything on mobile for me? just because we'd like a dark (black) background doesn't mean it's gothic with blood and a goat sacrifice. The white is just too bright Edit: Okay I see the difference on desktop. I would still prefer a dark background like what has been suggested
YouTwo
I'm liking the new gray background on the dark themes.

nardes
Whatever you choose... there needs to be CONTRAST. My colorblindness makes reading the new site quite the task. I seriously have to put my face up against the screen and squint to figure out which topics to click tape and Tommy

What things do not have enough contrast ? Do they look the same colour because there isn't enough contrast? Thank you
boops_popmarket
All text that is neon green or neon blue has poor contrast. You can't display neon colors on white or light grey backgrounds. ALL dark text needs to be on a white or light grey background and ALL neon text needs to have a dark grey or black background.
futures
or make the blues/greens darker

A perfect example is the "Report Post" link on someone's comment... to me I can BARELY see it.When I put my mouse on their comment, it does darkens it, and I can see it better. On the message board, the links to the pages are whats really hard to see... If it's bolded it's "ok-ish" but when it's the thinner font, it just really blends in with the page. I'd recommend doing deeper colors, such as a red or a navy blue... something that will pop more!

This is a lot easier on the eyes for me as well. As shown above this is still a little harder for me personally. If the text size was a bit bigger or thicker it would be a lot better. Thanks a ton Hector for being so responsive with the changes and feedback. HectorSRCVINYL

It looks like regular blue

I was just illustrating how thin the font is and how its blending and not very visible for some of us with that theme. I switched to the new colorblind and the colors help ten fold but the font visibility issue is still there for me. Not sure if you could bump the font size up 1 or 2 points or make it a bit thicker/darker on the colorblind theme for us colorblind people. Edit: More specifically the posts that have already been read. Bigger culprit with multiple in a row.
himynameisShane
I'm going to try out the colorblind theme, but my headaches intensify when I come to this site. The bright colors are not my friend... haha
boops_popmarket
The darker blue text in the colorblind theme is muuuuuch better. Thanks!
Sad Heart
Yeah, that darker shade of blue makes all the difference. Very nice.
NewOldStock
Dark Blue all the way
tape
Colorblind is another good step. I still just feel like there's too much white on the page and more of the page needs to be non-white. Especially considering all the whitespace [pun unintended] that is white.
Mars
Yeah, it would be nice if the current grey replaced the white completely, and then another slightly darker grey was used as the secondary colour. That with the dark blue colourblind scheme would be solid.
andy.
If Andrew McMahon used this forum, he'd would pick Dark Blue. beta114
Crabwalker
The colorblind is the best option so far. I have been staying away from the site more b/c it's hard to read and gives me a headache. I can at least handle the colorblind option
pizza face
Colorblind Theme is the best so far. I think this site needs an option to let users create their own theme??
tvham
Agreed that Colorblind is the best so far but it's still too bright IMO
