yancey47
Life's Rich Pagent, Eponymous, and Dead Letter Office. Nothing known about remastering or anything. REM is my all time favorite band but this seems unnecessary. Go get em at a used store any time. http://www.nme.com/news/rem/93933 Edited June 4, 2016 by yancey47

Life's Rich Pageant is my favorite REM album, but it definitely is not hard to find for less than $10 used.
yancey47
I'm 100% sure every album is getting a reissue. Very much looking forward to the early Warner Albums getting the proper vinyl treatment.
DecayToDeath
What about New Adventures? kjkenney
boops_popmarket
I'm assuming those harder to find albums will be released within the next two years. I gave up on waiting and bought the original pressings last year. I figured being able to own them and listen to them for an extra two years of my life was worth the extra money. 1876records
one day, I will walk into a record store and a used copy of Out of Time will just be sitting there untouched for under $50.
youspinmeround
I have zero faith in wb. They continue to rehash flaming lips shit but have never touched r.e.m
boops_popmarket
Concord Bicycle Group bought the rights in December. All reissues will be through them.

tonyfranciosa
they aren't priced that bad for new represses. I'd spend $16 for clean new copies of Document and Eponymous (2 of my faves) to replace my beater OGs.

I have low expectations based on what they have done and who they own the rights to I still cant believe WB would sell off the rights to one of the biggest bands of the last 30 years

I walked into one of my usual haunts one day and Out of Time was sitting there at an incredibly low price. I can't remember what I paid, but it was under $20. Shortly there after, I stumbled across a copy of Monster for $30.
boops_popmarket
I believe Warner Brothers licensing deal ended and the rights reverted back to the band and then Concord Group purchased the licensing rights from the band. I don't know what Concord is like as a "label" as they seem like a strange boutique licensing group for just a few large, unrelated bands. I'm hoping the reissues for the WB era records are also under $20 and well pressed.

yancey47
Got a bit of a fantasy that Out of Time, Automatic, and Monster get 2XLP 45RPM.
Plarocks
The OG US "Out of Time" sounds amazing. One of the few times in the 90s the vinyl version of a "then current" rock album received its own vinyl mix, and it shows. And what a GREAT album it is... niblips
New Adventures in Hi Fi is what i really want. Monster and Out of Time would be nice to have too, but my first choice is Hi Fi.

Then I paid the extra for the German "Alsdorf" pressing. Sounded much better to my ears. niblips

YouTwo
I probably shouldn't have knock these releases since I actually don't even own Eponymous or Dead Letter Office. The prices aren't outrageous. Both are around $18 on Bull Moose. Edited June 7, 2016 by dbarila
