seand27
I was cleaning my old Kenwood turntable with a Magic Eraser and decided to use said Eraser to wipe off the N-52 needle. Then when I tried to play a record with it, the needle simply glides right across the record. After some googling, it seems I shouldn't have rubbed the Eraser across the needle. Have I broken my needle? I'm not sure what else it would be as it was working fine until I cleaned it off.

kjkenney
I wanna try that thing linked. Have done magic eraser to OK results. Don't glide the stylus just 'dab' it. Any gunk on there should come off after a couple times. Needles are cheap enough though; small, cheap lesson in hi fi :/
