viperviper
i just found this in my dad's record collection. does anyone know the specifics of this pressing? the old pressings of their records came with newspapers or other various artwork. does anyone know if this is this a first pressing? and if so, how much does this go for? i'm just curious. kyle
Sorry, I don't know what it goes for, but thats a really cool find. I'd hope that you wouldn't sell it though, seeing as how it was in your pop's collection and its just a classic record.
destroyingthescene
Hmmm, looks like a fake to me ... how about you send it my way and I'll have a better look in person and let you know for certain!

kyle
What label is this pressed on?
scottheisel
Also, I just pulled my copy of this out and while it has the big fold-out insert (which it looks like yours does too, if that's it in the top-right of your picture), it does not have those newspapers. Also, your label is showing DK -- is that side A or side B? My side A has a tracklisting label, but side B has the DK logo. EDIT: Mine is the original Alternative Tentacles press, but I got it in the late '90s (maybe '99?).
viperviper
What label is this pressed on? it's on Cherry Red Records, which is distributed by Pinnacle Records.

kyle
My friend has a Cherry Red pressing of this record. I meant to look up the value of this record for him, but never did. I don't think he has those newspaper inserts, though. Also, yours appears to be in better shape.
viperviper
i got dog hair all over the record! dammit.
dietrich
i have one thats on cherry red records too, but no inserts. my girlfriend got it for me while she was in ireland, but I don't know if its an import or not.
mike
take a pic of the back cover and i'll be able to tell you exactly which press it is. its definitely a UK press. Cherry Red was actually the first label to release it, before IRS did in the US. but since they didn't start the "no more censorship defense fund" until way later (after the Frankenchrist fiasco), unless your dad just stuffed those in later on, its probably a late 80's press. impact
that might be a UK press. the 1st US pressing of it has an Orange cover.

impact
yep, also the band started a law suit w/ DK about their pic being on the back sleeve so a lot of the newer pressings have the band w.out heads and some even have the band pic taken out of the back sleeve. mike
wow, i actually don't think i've seen one with a blue back cover. throughout the 80's pressing, cherry red changed the color of the back covers every so often. i have a red and have seen yellow and green. that's pretty cool. viperviper
wow that's awesome man. i didn't think there would be so much to this release. cherry red really fooled around with the specifics of it.
xlovecolouredx
this is my DK favourite album. some detail about DK art cover which you should know. for single 'holiday in cambodia' art cover. the pic of a man holding a chair for smash on hanged corpse is not happend in cambodia. it so terrible that it happend in thailand last 35 years ago. it is a national tragedy. i wish all the good peoples who died in that tragedy rest in peace.... Guest kingbuzzo
Does anyone know how much the orange cover version of this is worth? I've got a few different copies sitting in these crates a friend gave me.
