Hey.

We’re pleased to present you the 6th Blueneck album called "The Outpost". "The Outpost" eschews the southern-gothic sepia of "King Nine" in exchange for a maxed-out colour contrast of electronic beats, vibrant vintage synths and guitars that are by turns ballsy, soaring and delicately intricate.

We’re also delighted to present you the first release of the latest roster addition Paco Sala. "Ko Yo" is the first of two limited 12’’ EPs the duo will release in preparation for the new album "If I Come Along, If I come Alone" which will see the light of day in 2017.

Subheim returns with the album related EP called "Trails". Three new tracks and a remix arranged by John Lemke.

BLUENECK · THE OUTPOST CD | 12’’ | DIGITAL

Hailing from North Somerset in the UK, Blueneck have been at forefront of the European underground music scene since forming in 2000. They’ve released five critically-acclaimed albums, toured extensively with acts like Cult of Luna and Mono and featured in series of high profile European festivals including a triumphant midnight set at Glastonbury 2014. The band have also soundtracked a number of independent films and had their work featured on NBC, HBO and SyFy channels.

"The Outpost" retains the melodic songcraft of Blueneck’s best work, as well as Attwood’s inimitable seductive, haunting vocals. However "The Outpost" eschews the southern-gothic sepia of "King Nine" in exchange for a maxed-out colour contrast of electronic beats, vibrant vintage synths and guitars that are by turns ballsy, soaring and delicately intricate. From the pulsing Archive-esque Prog whiplash of ‘From Beyond’ to the plaintive Sparklehorse meets Boards of Canada electro-pop of ‘Ghosts’ (Blueneck’s most accessible moment to date); and from the windswept Earth-esque Americana of ‘The White Ship’ to the Talk Talk covering John Carpenter expanse of ‘Hive’; Blueneck have created one of their most passionate, propulsive and progressive recordings to date.

Finally a new record of the London / Berlin based sophisticated lo-fi pop duo whose debut was described by Boomkat as "a killer amalgam of squashed beats, lo-fi pop & narcotic, slo-jams". "Ko Yo" is the last track Antony and Birch have written for the new album "If I Come Along, If I come Alone" which will see the light of day in 2017. The six tracks of "Ko Yo" are dealing with how the female soul travels by means of the voice, Haitian Voodoo, passive vegetarianism, lost chances, lost memories, The Tibetan Book Of The Dead & mantras of lifespan reduction, social dissonance & a sense of home.

Following on from 2015's praised "Foray" LP, berlin-based SUBHEIM releases his new "Trails" EP on Denovali Records. As with any Subheim release, it is important to consider your frame of mind when listening to his music. "Trails" takes the listener on a very personal journey with intent, riding upon an undercurrent of impending necessity. There is simplicity in its design, though the further you delve the more complex it becomes.
