The Vinyl Digital Thread

Recommended Posts

I got an email from Vinyl Digital saying a bunch of items were back in stock and I quickly got tired of trying to search for each of the threads, so I thought it would be a good idea to make a catch all thread for their "special releases" since they seem to be really popular and go in and out of stock.

Can do. Try to remind me in a couple weeks when I expect it'll be here

I grabbed a copy a month or so ago, right before it went out of stock, and it sounds really good. I'm not sure if this is a different pressing or not, but if it's the same I'd definitely recommend it!

I'll be very interested in hearing your review, would much rather pay $15, than $120 for an official

Watch the Throne sounded pretty damn good. A very little bit of surface noise during some quieter parts and one or two pops on the d-side. Over all totally worth it.

Channel Orange sounded really good too

isn't this still in print officially? saw a copy at my local during RSD with the normal cover

I thought it was hella OOP but it looks like Urban Outfitters has some online. Two of my three local shops have a copy of the boot, one of which just got it recently. That's weird if it's in print.

Just heard a commercial for Alan Cross' "History of New Music" radio show.  There's apparently an episode on bootlegs.  Fun fact: The first bootlegger was 1900 and he recorded operas and shared with friends way back then... not sure how though, will be interested to hear the show.

Also, not sure why I posted this here. ;)

So are these guys done selling boots? I just did a quick search and I'm not seeing any of their big sellers (like Kanye) even being OOS (the listings aren't even there anymore).

I've been waiting for an Aphex Twin release to be back.

Bummer.

I noticed that the other day too.  Weird.

So I'm not sure if this is the correct thread to post in, but recently i saw a copy of Jay Z's 4:44 in my local shop. Obviously it was a bootleg, and I had already made my selections when I saw it, so I figured I would just order it from vinyl digital when I got home (since typically that's where I've gotten all of my hip hop bootlegs from). However, when I got home, I was surprised that they didn't have a copy of it online. I've googled a few places, and I haven't been able to find it online via a retailer (though there are a couple listed on discogs). I guess my question is are there any other reliable places to get boots from?
