"Finally, after much (well, some) ballyhoo, CRUSADES is absolutely thrilled to announce that our upcoming LP, THIS IS A SICKNESS AND SICKNESS WILL END, will see a March 7th release on both Anxious and Angry in the US and via my (Dave) own shiny, new Countless Altars label in Canada and overseas (distributed in the UK by the wonderful Drunken Sailor Records and mainland Europe/elsewhere by the splendiferous Sabotage Records). The album was recorded in Spring 2016 by Mike Bond at Wolf Lake Studios in Lac-Des-Loups, QC, with additional tracking by our own Jordan Bell at Atomic Audio Inc. here in Ottawa. It was mixed by Matt Bayles (the sonic wizard behind myriad masterpieces from Tragedy, Mastodon, Botch, The Murder City Devils, From Ashes Rise ... not to mention Pearl Jam, Deftones, Alice in Chains, etc.) at his own Red Room Recording in Seattle, WA, and mastered/co-produced by Martin Bowitz and Jørgen Smådal Larsen (Bowitz/Larsen of The Spectacle, Cold Mailman, Kråkesølv, and more) at Strype Audio in Oslo, Norway. On top of local release shows, we will also be embarking on a long-awaited return to Europe in April/May (with dates to come very shortly). A debut track and pre-order info will also follow soon." Those splats on black frequently get washed out into black with a couple light splatters. Rolling the dice. I'm bummed the band is sold out of their Priest shirts. I hope they make more.
