alecl
Me and my wife inherited a turntable and some speakers form her grandparents. I have it all set up and everything sounds pretty good the only problem is that when you get to the last or second to last track the tone arm seems to reach a certain point and cant go any farther past that point on the track. it almost seems like a spring or something is causing some resistance and the record will skip repeatedly because it wont go past the certain point. I've tried to adjust the anti skating dial and that doesn't seem to have any affect. i have noticed that there is a small hole by the base of the tone arm that allows you to fit a small flat head screwdriver down there and adjust something but the problem is im not sure what it adjusts. It looks like the screw is by the spring mechanism that moves the tone arm. I dont know too much about turntables yet, but they were getting ride of it and i didn't want it to get thrown into the junk pile. i can provide pictures if any one would like them, any help would be great thanks. Thomas³
What turntable? If it has auto-return/lift, there are probably adjustment points that need corrected. Edited January 6, 2017 by Thomas³
