Record Store Day 2017

I haven't really done the wake up early for RSD thing in a few years and I'm trying to gauge something by your comments about it getting worse overall. Does 2500 copies of Sunny Day Real Estate mean I have to wake up early and get in line? It's all I want. In past years all 3 stores I like in this city would have really long lines by the time the stores open. Thanks.

Do you live near Amoeba, Bullmoose, Newbury, etc? Feel free to sleep in and casually stroll into the shop that afternoon to pick up your SDRE.

Do do only have a mom and pop, indie record shop nearby (you know, one of the ones that could actually benefit from RSD?) They'll probably get one copy, two at most (possibly zero) and you should wake up with the roosters.

Agreed. I don't think it'll last until afternoon for most stores though. Big ones wou should be okay showing up at doors for but I expect it be gone first from most small shops.

If that cure release wansnt picture disc i would prob be heading out RSD, but naaaaa.

Also, just to brag, because its brag worthy, I met Robert Smith a few years ago (and the rest of the cure), we went out to some bar too.

Most of the band was pretty cool/fun, Robert tho.... guy is a little out of it.

For sure:

Against Me! 7" picture disc

Coheed "Good Apollo"

Maybe a SDR for the boards

Probably Offspring S/T (though I'd rather have that w/ KtP on it.

Probably Marcy Playground

Brand New "The Devil and God are Raging inside of a brown paper bag" (a joke, but would buy)

Anything else that catches my eye at the time. I want to check out the trax on that Dogfish Head comp.

Btw, I plan to go super early to insure a Coheed. I'm taking requests (from people I can trust to pay me).  Fire away at my PM, but please have buyer feedback on VC. Or click below link for Discogs and pm there, but HAVE FEEDBACK PLEASE. I don't trust you shady mofos.

Planning on and hoping to get:

Coheed - Good Apollo

White Zombie - God on Voodoo Moon (if on red)

Pearl Jam - State of Love & Trust / Breath

The Sunday - Blind Anniversary reissue

Damnation AD - Pornography

I'm not lining up early or anything at any of the 3 stores that will have RSD stuff. I'll stroll whenever and take my chances.

Does anyone know more about the Super Furry Animals release? Great album, but is it pressed on a color variant? If not, there's a few represses floating around online for roughly the same price as the one coming out on RSD.

I think it's straight black, but an official US release, which the recent reissue never got (was import-only as far as I know).

I love emailing Warner.. it's like a half human/half robot response every time.

Asking if the albums in the Goo Goo Dolls box will be sold individually in the future and they reply back with thanking me for my interest in RSD '17 and a description of the box from the website.

Yes it does. Been a favorite forever and I'll buy the dumb box set just to have it.

Likewise haha

I agree. I just don't think that the masses know about it.

Idk man, I've had the CD since I was like 10. I feel like that album, A Boy Named Goo, and Dizzy Up the Girl are the three most popular. I could be wrong though.

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned. Monster Music, I know you guys look at the board. Care to elaborate on this? Will all stores participating in RSD get this? How much is it?

Creep records in Philly posted that they'd have a copy and that it was limited to 60.
